Water pollution incidents pose a significant threat to the safety of drinking water supplies and directly impact the quality of life of the residents when multiple pollutants contaminate drinking water sources. The majority of drinking water sources in China are derived from rivers and lakes that are often significantly impacted by water pollution incidents. To tackle the internal mechanisms between water quality and quantity, in this study, a Copula-based spatiotemporal probabilistic model for drinking water sources at the watershed scale is proposed.

Whereas, grievous volume expansion caused by the conversion-alloying reaction leads to fast capacity decay and inferior cycle stability. Herein, the confined SbSe nanorods in nitrogen-doped carbon (SbSe/NC) with interfacial chemical bond is designed to further enhance sodium storage properties of SbSe.

In China, "Ecological Conservation Redline" (ECR) that prohibited urbanization and industrial construction has been proposed as a national policy to resolve spatial mismatches and management contradictions. However, unfriendly human disturbance activities (e.

Currently, there is a lack of comprehensive human health risk assessment (HHRA) studies for multiple land use types at the regional scale. We propose a practical risk assessment framework that integrates empirical Bayesian kriging (EBK), pollution level analyses, and modified HHRA modeling.

However, it is subjected to sluggish insertion/extraction kinetics, inferior electronic conductivity and inadequate active capacities. Herein, a three-dimensional (3D) interconnected MoS/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) framework is proposed to address these issues.

Ecosystem services are closely related to human well-being and are vulnerable to high-intensity human land-use activities. Understanding the evolution of land use and land cover (LULC) changes and quantifying ecosystem service value (ESV) are significant for sustainable development. In this study, we used land use and land cover data and other data from 2000 to 2020 to analyze the evolution of land use and land cover and ESV in Tongliao, China.

During the last 10 years, China has faced the occurrence of six extraordinarily serious heavy metal contamination pollution events at the watershed scale. This has alerted governments and enterprises of the significance of emergency decision-making.

During 2005-2018, heavy metal mixed pollution accidents comprised approximately 33% of the major environmental ones in China. A Bayesian Networks-based probabilistic approach is developed to quantitatively predict ecological and human health risks for heavy metal mixed pollution accidents at the watershed scale.

These issues pose a great threat to human health, ecological balance, and even societal stability. During 2012-2017, China, in particular, faced the challenge of 23 heavy metals accidents, six of which were extraordinarily serious accidents.

The transformation proceeds smoothly in water with good yields and a broad reaction scope. Mechanistic studies show that regioselective brimonative 5-exo-dig aza-cyclization, bromohydration of the resulting alkene groups, and hydrolysis of dibromo compounds are involved.

The transformation works well with good yields and a broad reaction scope. The synthetic switch for providing isoquinolin-1-one and 3-hydroxylisoquinolin-1,4-dione is enabled by the use of a N or O atmosphere.

China particularly faces challenge of accidental water pollution risk from more than 8869 mine tailings ponds in serve by 2015, some of which are close to residential areas and other important infrastructures within 1 km downstream. To address watershed-scale risk assessment of accidental water pollution from mine tailings ponds, a Bayesian Network-based Risk Dynamic Simulation (BN-RDS) model was proposed to simulate "sources/stressors-receptors-endpoints" risk routes.

Abrupt environmental pollution accidents cause considerable damage worldwide to the ecological environment, human health, and property. The concept of acceptable risk aims to answer whether or not a given environmental pollution risk exceeds a societally determined criterion. This paper presents a case study on acceptable environmental pollution risk conducted through a questionnaire survey carried out between August and October 2014 in five representative districts and two counties of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, China.

Over the past half century, a surprising number of major pollution incidents occurred due to tailings dam failures. Most previous studies of such incidents comprised forensic analyses of environmental impacts after a tailings dam failure, with few considering the combined pollution risk before incidents occur at a watershed-scale. We therefore propose Watershed-scale Tailings-pond Pollution Risk Analysis (WTPRA), designed for multiple mine tailings ponds, stemming from previous watershed-scale accidental pollution risk assessments.
