Background: There is controversy about the benefit of administering adjuvant therapy to esophageal cancer (EC) patients after preoperative neoadjuvant therapy and surgical treatment. This study aims to investigate the clinical benefit of postoperative adjuvant therapy in EC patients with neoadjuvant therapy and surgery.
Materials And Methods: The study included EC patients diagnosed from 2007 to 2020 in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database.
The incidence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is increasing with the advancement of world population aging, affecting the population health worldwide. Recently, there were several researches to suggest the association between GERD and sarcopenia, but evidence supporting the causal effect was absent. The purpose of this study is to determine the causal relationship between GERD and sarcopenia through a Mendelian randomization (MR) study.

Background: Internal herniation through lesser omentum hiatus and gastrocolic ligament with malrotation is extremely rare. This type of internal hernia has rarely been described before. Preoperative diagnosis is difficult and prone to misdiagnosis.
