Purpose: To evaluate rotational stability for ease of rotation of a new intraocular lens (IOL) platform with 4 haptics in an ex vivo model and compare it with a control single-piece lens with 2 open loops.
Setting: Intermountain Ocular Research Center, John A. Moran Eye Center, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Objective: This study provides data for clinicians and wheelchair users to compare the durability, stability, and cost effectiveness of three different lightweight wheelchair models: the Everest & Jennings EZ Lite, the Invacare Rolls 2000, and the Quickie Designs Breezy. A second objective was to compare the results from this study to those published for ultralight and institutional depot wheelchairs.
Design: Randomized standards testing of three wheelchair models from each manufacturer (nine wheelchairs total).

The range of values for the 24-hour thyroidal accumulation of radioactive iodine in euthyroid persons varies with geographic location. In the San Bernardino Valley region of Southern California the "normal range" is 6 percent to 33 percent in euthyroid subjects. This is lower than in studies from other areas of the United States.
