The compositional nutrient diagnosis-CND method is a standard tool for evaluating plant nutritional status. Adjustments are crucial to elevate accuracy. The effectiveness of such methodological refinements should be rigorously assessed through accuracy tests that are benchmarked against the prescient diagnostic analysis-PDA methodology.

H However, one of the causes to the effects of deficit irrigation is the loss of C:N:P homeostasis in leaves and stems that causes reduction in the growth of sugarcane. Being able to measure the impact of water deficit on C:N:P homeostasis in plants from the stoichiometric ratios of the concentrations of these nutrients in leaves and stems.

Production of sugarcane and more recently of energy cane strengthen renewable bioenergy production capacity. However, droughts resulting from climate change have limited the production of these crops. One of the strategies to attenuate water deficit damage in these crops is the use of silicate, which contributes to plant physiology.

Oxidative damage in leaves can be attenuated by supplying silicon (Si). The aim of this study was to assess the effect of increasing foliar B accumulation on cotton plants to determine whether adding Si to the spray solution promotes gains to correct deficiency and toxicity of this micronutrient by decreasing oxidative stress via synthetizing proline and glycine-betaine, thereby raising dry matter production.

Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate how low auxin sensitivity regulates the responses of tomato plants to N deficiency. For this purpose, we used the tomato diageotropica mutant, with low auxin sensitivity, and a near isogenic line cv.

This led us to test the role of auxin resistance of dgt in NH toxicity and N deficiency, compared to wild type tomato (cv. Micro-Tom, MT), grown in hydroponic media.

Phalaenopsis and Dendrobium do not grow and flower well with 100% ammonium (NH4-N); and there are detailed studies on the effects of nitrate (NO3-N) and ammonium ratios on the flowering, but no information about accumulation of other nutrients and the effects of ammonium toxicity on orchids. For this reason, two experiments were carried out with orchids: Phalaenopsis 'Golden Peoker' and Dendrobium 'Valentine'. Six months after acclimatization the plants were transplanted to individual plastic vessels and the treatments consisted of five ratios (%) of nitrate / ammonium (0/100, 25/75, 50/50, 75/25, 100/0).
