A strain of C. raciborskii, which does not produce cylindrospermopsin but contains saxitoxins and gonyautoxins, was not acutely toxic to Daphnia, as the daphnids survived slightly longer in suspensions with the cyanobacterium as the sole feed than in medium without food.
