Several studies have suggested a potential antitumor effect of 2-dodecyl-6-methoxycyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione (DMDD). To further understand the mechanism of action of this compound, we investigated its effect on the phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K)/serine-threonine kinase (Akt)/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway. We show that DMDD application significantly inhibited the proliferation of breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB-231 and ER-α positive MCF-7.

Objective: This study aimed to identify alternative parameters for predicting AIT responders based on clinical data collected in daily practice.
Method: We conducted a retrospective analysis of patients with house-dust-mite-driven asthma and/or rhinitis who completed 3 years of subcutaneous AIT (3y-AIT).
Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the most common liver diseases accompanied by lipid and glucose metabolism disorder. Didymin has been reported to have various hepatoprotective effects, however, its potential effects and mechanisms on NAFLD remain unclear from the perspective of the whole.
Purpose: To investigate the underlying mechanism of didymin against NAFLD using multi-omics technologies.
Background: Studies have shown that Averrhoa carambola L. possesses therapeutic potential for diabetes and related complications. However, the specific beneficial effects and molecular mechanisms of 2-dodecyl-6-meth-oxycyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione (DMDD) isolated from Averrhoa carambola L.

This study aimed to explore the potential origin of Sp-IgG and identify clinically relevant subtypes of Sp-IgG that may indicate autoimmune events in asthma.
Methods: This study included 165 asthmatic patients and 38 healthy volunteers.
Background And Purpose: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is an important cause of end-stage renal disease, with podocyte injury as the main feature. Pyroptosis plays a non-negligible role in the process of diabetic nephropathy. Puerarin (PR) treatment of diabetic nephropathy has great potential, but the mechanism is not very clear.

To address the challenges of complex backgrounds, small defect sizes, and diverse defect types in defect detection of wire bonding X-ray images, this paper proposes a convolutional-neural-network-based defect detection method called YOLO-CSS. This method designs a novel feature extraction network that effectively captures semantic features from different gradient information. It utilizes a self-adaptive weighted multi-scale feature fusion module called SMA which adaptively weights the contribution of detection results based on different scales of feature maps.

In order to improve the production quality and qualification rate of chips, X-ray nondestructive imaging technology has been widely used in the detection of chip defects, which represents an important part of the quality inspection of products after packaging. However, the current traditional defect detection algorithm cannot meet the demands of high accuracy, fast speed, and real-time chip defect detection in industrial production. Therefore, this paper proposes a new multi-scale feature fusion module (ATSPPF) based on convolutional neural networks, which can more fully extract semantic information at different scales.

In order to improve the detection accuracy of the surface defect detection of industrial hot rolled strip steel, the advanced technology of deep learning is applied to the surface defect detection of strip steel. In this paper, we propose a framework for strip surface defect detection based on a convolutional neural network (CNN). In particular, we propose a novel multi-scale feature fusion module (ATPF) for integrating multi-scale features and adaptively assigning weights to each feature.

Alkylarenes with primary and secondary benzylic C-H bonds were compatible with this method. Remarkably, the marketed drugs ibuprofen and diclofenac could be easily obtained by this procedure straightforwardly.

The rats were intragastrically administered with 50% CCl for 9 weeks to induce hepatic fibrosis, followed by various agents for 6 weeks. Transcriptomic analysis was carried out to predict the potential targets, and then multiple examinations were performed to verify the prediction.

The reaction exhibits broad substrate generality and functional group compatibility. Mechanistic studies have disclosed that the aminomethylated naphthols are generated from the resulting ,-aminal containing isochromenes a silver-catalyzed unusual rearrangement process.

Background: Reduced forced expiratory flow between 25% and 75% of vital capacity percent predicted (FEF%) representing small airway dysfunction (SAD) was associated with asthma development and progression.
Objective: To investigate whether FEF% was superior to forced expiratory volume in 1 second in predicted (FEV%) in reflecting asthma features in adult patients.
Methods: A retrospective spirometry dataset comprising 1801 adult patients with confirmed asthma and a subgroup of 332 patients having detailed clinical data were used to explore the association of FEF% and/or FEV% with clinical features of asthma.
