Background: This study aimed to analyze the correlation of urine protein/creatinine ratio (UPCR) in late pregnancy with pregnancy outcomes in patients with preeclampsia (PE) combined with hyponatremia.
Methods: The data of 288 PE patients were collected and compiled for retrospective analysis. The patients were divided into two groups: observation group (52 cases, complicated with hyponatremia) and control group (236 cases, not complicated with hyponatremia).
The optical and dielectric properties of opals with different water contents were investigated using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. The refractive indices and absorption coefficients showed different trends due to the different water contents. The effective medium theory was used to extract the intrinsic dielectric permittivity of opal from opal-polytetrafluoroethylene mixtures.

The complex dielectric constant and conductivity are analyzed using the Drude-Smith model. The refractive index and absorption coefficient are linearly increased with the content of crystal-water, and the corresponding linear fitting lines of R over 0.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFMass transfer in liquid phase is the rate-limiting step for carbon dioxide capture by ammonia water, which results in a low total mass transfer coefficient and thus a poor carbon dioxide removal efficiency. For this issue, this study established a venturi reactor with an excellent mass transfer performance to promote mass transfer rate during carbon dioxide capture, and investigated the effect of operating parameters of the venturi reactor on carbon dioxide removal efficiency and overall mass transfer coefficient. The results showed that with an increasing flow rate of the jet from 8.

In this study, the adsorption and mass-transfer mechanisms of sulfur dioxide and nitric oxide at the gas-liquid interface of a HO solution were comprehensively analyzed using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. The analysis on molecule angle showed that HO molecules tended to align parallel to the solution surface on the surface of the HO solution.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTerahertz time-domain spectroscopy was first used to establish a correlation with the whole-rock iron (TFe) content in different depths of the Bayan Obo protolith. Compared with element content obtained by the traditional method of X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), a similar tendency of the absorption coefficient and refractive index is presented. Furthermore, three machine learning algorithms, namely, partial least squares regression (PLSR), random forest (RF), and multi-layer perceptron (MLP), were used to develop a quantitative analytical model for TFe content of the protolith minerals.

Background: Vascular endothelial dysfunction is an early phenotype of aging-related vascular dysfunction. Delaying vascular aging and preventing cardiovascular disease are major public health problems that urgently need to be solved. Scientists have studied various drugs to prevent the occurrence and progress of cardiovascular disease, but progress has been slow.

The country's risk may significantly impact every sector of the economy, and the energy sector is no exception. However, no past study has empirically tested the relationship between country risk and renewable energy investment. Therefore, this study is an effort to investigate the relationship between country risk and renewable energy investment in highly polluted economies.

Indocyanine green (ICG) seems to have a lower false positive rate and tissue damage, without a clear field of vision during the operation.
Methods: For the shortcomings, we successfully synthesized three anionic pullulan materials, changed the degree of hydrophobic for size controlling (< 50nm) to prepare CHP nanoparticles (NPs) and changed the succinyl degree to prepare CHPC NPs with different negative surface potential.
R-spondin 2 (RSPO2) drives the potentiation of Wnt signaling and is implicated in tumorigenesis in multiple cancers, but its role in ovarian cancer has not been investigated. Here, we reported that RSPO2 promoted the growth and metastasis of ovarian cancer through the activation of FAK/Src signaling cascades. RSPO2 enhanced the autophosphorylation of FAK and Src through a unique dual receptors mechanism.

Cutaneous wound healing is a complicated process that is characterized by an initial inflammatory phase followed by a proliferative phase. NLRC3 plays important roles in innate immunity, inflammatory regulation and tumor cell growth. However, the function of NLRC3 in wound healing remains unclear.

Ginsenoside Rb1 is one of most important active ingredients in Panax ginseng and Panax notoginseng. In the last two decades, more attention has focused on ginsenoside Rb1 as an antioxidative, anti-apoptotic and anti-inflammatory agent that can protect the nervous system.

Given its unclear etiology, studies of ankylosing spondylitis relied heavily on drug-induced or transgenic rodent models which retain only partial clinical features. There is obviously a lack of a useful disease model to conduct comprehensive mechanistic studies.

Methods The gene expression profiles of 62 ccRCC and 54 normal kidney tissues were available from the Gene Expression Omnibus database: GSE12606, GSE36895 and GSE66272. The differentially expressed genes were screened with GEO2R and J Venn online tools.

Methods: Langendorff-perfused isolated hearts from Slit2-overexpressing (Slit2-Tg) mice and C57BL/6J mice (background strain) were subjected to 20 min of global ischemia followed by 40 min of reperfusion. We compared Slit2-Tg with C57BL/6J mice in terms of left ventricular function and infarct size of post-IR hearts along with tissue histological and biochemical assessments (mRNA and protein expression, phosphorylation status, and myofilament contractile properties).
Fruits of hickory () are larger and their peel is greener after interspecific pollination by pecan (; later pp fruits) than after intraspecific pollination by hickory (later ph fruits). Previous studies have found little genetic differences between offspring and their maternal parent, indicating that the observed trait differences between pp and ph fruits are due to metaxenia. Fruit development depends on the amount of photosynthetic assimilate available.
