Pathogenic bioaerosols are critical for outbreaks of airborne disease; however, rapidly and accurately identifying pathogens directly from complex air environments remains highly challenging. We present an advanced method that combines open-set deep learning (OSDL) with single-cell Raman spectroscopy to identify pathogens in real-world air containing diverse unknown indigenous bacteria that cannot be fully included in training sets. To test and further enhance identification, we constructed the Raman datasets of aerosolized bacteria.

Metabolic reprogramming is one of the characteristics of tumor cell metabolism. In tumor cells, there are multiple metabolic enzymes and membrane proteins to regulate metabolic reprogramming, and hypoxia inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) can be regulated in transcription, translation, posttranslational modification and other aspects through multiple pathways, and HIF-1α affects multiple metabolic enzymes and membrane proteins during metabolic reprogramming, thus playing a central role in the metabolic reprogramming process, and thus has some implications for tumor therapy and understanding chemotherapy drug resistance. HIF-1α affects a number of metabolic enzymes and membrane proteins in the metabolic reprogramming process, thus playing a central role in the metabolic reprogramming process, which has certain significance for the treatment of tumors and the understanding of chemotherapeutic drug resistance.

Poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) is used to coordinate with Gd, forming a Gd/PAA macrochelate. Both Gd/PAA macrochelate and SR717 are conjugated to cystamine (CA) to obtain SR717-CA@Gd/PAA self-assembled nanoparticles (SAN), which are termed as Turbo S because of its similarity with the Turbo-charging system of cars.

Plenty of nanostructured plasmonic materials have been fabricated to achieve high SERS activity. Currently, great difficulty lies in evaluating the SERS performance among substrates, making it difficult to standardize.

However, nanoresolved electrochemical characterization techniques still suffer from unstable potential control of pseudo-REs, because the commercial RE is too large to be used in the tiny electrochemical cell, and thus only pseudo-RE can be used. Therefore, microsized RE with a stable potential is urgently required to push the nanoresolved electrochemical measurements to a new level of accuracy and precision, but it is quite challenging to reproducibly fabricate such a micro RE until now.

In this case, tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS), which combines scanning probe microscopy with plasmon-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, is a powerful technique that can simultaneously obtain the morphological information and chemical fingerprint of target samples at nanometer spatial resolution. It is an ideal tool for the nanoscale chemical characterization of materials and interfaces, correlating their structures with chemical performances.

However, the ferroptosis therapeutic efficacy of large tumors is limited due to the slow conversion of Fe to Fevia Fenton reactions. Herein, a strategy of intratumor Fe cyclic catalysis is proposed for ferroptosis therapy of large tumors, which was realized based on our newly developed hollow mesoporous iron sesquioxide nanoparticle (HMISN).

Methods And Results: A total of 152 adult patients with symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic arterial steno-occlusive disease who were treated with encephaloduroarteriosynangiosis and intensive medical management across 3 tertiary centers in China between January 2011 and September 2019 were retrospectively included. The primary outcomes were defined as postoperative cerebrovascular events, including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.
Collective excitations including plasmons, magnons, and layer-breathing vibration modes emerge at an ultralow frequency (<1 THz) and are crucial for understanding van der Waals materials. Strain at the nanoscale can drastically change the property of van der Waals materials and create localized states like quantum emitters. However, it remains unclear how nanoscale strain changes collective excitations.

The latter remains presumably assumed in almost all cases. However, by using optical microscopy to spatially resolve the classic redox electrochemistry occurring at the whole surface of a gold macroelectrode, we discover that the electron transfer occurs always significantly sooner (by milliseconds), rather than faster in essence, at the radial coordinates closer to the electrode periphery than the very center.
