Purpose: This study compared the agreement between the Humphrey Field Analyzer (HFA) SITA Fast strategy and a novel virtual reality head-mounted visual perimetry device (VisuALL) in glaucoma patients.
Design: This is prospective observational study.
Participants: This study was conducted on 62 eyes of 39 glaucoma subjects.
Objective: The main aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of a platform designed for pediatricians to screen amblyopia using a smartphone.
Methods: The medical records of consecutive children who received visual screening using a smartphone platform were retrospectively reviewed. The smartphone was used with a flash concentrator case and a software for capturing images of both eyes simultaneously by a photorefraction mechanism.
Objectives: Uncorrected refractive errors are the leading cause of visual impairment in children. In this cross-sectional retrospective study, we analyzed a social visual screening program for school children in São Paulo, Brazil, evaluated its impact on the prevention and treatment of children's visual disabilities, and assessed its epidemiological outcomes to outline suggestions for its improvement.

Purpose: To report a case of Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS) complicated with uncontrolled glaucoma and serous retinal detachment (SRD) in the left eye that evolved with complete resolution after trabeculectomy.
Methods: We report the case of a 10-year-old boy with SWS complicated with uncontrolled glaucoma and SRD in the left eye. In primary evaluation, he presented with a left-sided nevus flammeus affecting upper eyelid and best corrected visual acuity of 20/50 on the affected eye.
Glaucoma is a progressive optic neuropathy characterized by the loss of ganglion cells and their axons. A major risk factor for glaucomatous visual field loss is elevated intraocular pressure (IOP), and several studies have shown that lowering IOP reduces the risk of glaucomatous progression. Currently, an increasing number of researches involve Rho kinase inhibitors, which are a new pharmacological class of hypotensive agents specifically targeting the diseased trabecular outflow pathway.
