Background: Diagnosis of child abuse in children evaluated for a blunt abdominal trauma can be challenging due to overlapping types of injuries.
Objective: Identify clinical characteristics and CT findings that differentiate children evaluated for accidental abdominal trauma (AcAT) and abusive abdominal trauma (AbAT).
Materials And Methods: Retrospective (1/2010 to 6/2024) study on children < 3 years-old who had an abdominal CT scan for AcAT or AbAT.
Rationale And Objectives: The aim of this study was to develop a validated instrument to measure radiology residents' sense of psychological ownership of patient care.
Materials And Methods: A previously validated measure of patient care ownership was adapted through a two-step process of expert review and revision by six academic radiology faculty. An online, anonymous survey was distributed to 64 residents and fellows at the end of three consecutive four-week long rotations.
Introduction: Every year, approximately 35,000 recruits enter the United States Air Force Basic Military Training (BMT). Musculoskeletal problems are particularly vexing for BMT because a broad array of differentials render definitive diagnosis burdensome and while most sufferers will fully recover, healing often requires protracted training delays resulting in increased unrecoverable training costs to the program. The purpose of this study is to conduct a case-control study of basic military trainees entering service from 2012 to 2015 to assess detectable differences in demographics, retention, and health care utilization.

Context: Musculoskeletal injury is the leading cause of attrition from military training.
Objective: To assess the effect of an embedded athletic training musculoskeletal care model within a basic military training unit.
Design: Cluster randomized trial.
Nine runners with varied experience but similar running-gait forms presented with the insidious and progressive onset of medial knee pain. Functional tightness of the semimembranosus (SM) tendon appeared to be a concomitant factor in the pain presentation of these patients. When evaluating atraumatic medial knee pain in runners, clinicians must consider bone stress injuries and atypical conditions.
