Metachromin C was first isolated from the marine sponge and has been reported to possess potent cytotoxicity against leukemia cells. However, its antitumor activity and possible mechanisms in pancreatic cancer remain unclear. The effects of Metachromin C on cell viability were estimated using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay.
