Hepatitis C virus (HCV) causes chronic and acute hepatitis infections. As there is extreme variability in the HCV genome, no approved HCV vaccine has been available so far. An effective polypeptide vaccine based on the functionally conserved epitopes will be greatly helpful in curing disease.

Previously, the evolution pattern and similarity among the COVID-19 causative organism severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and causative organisms of other similar infections have been determined using a single type of genetic marker in different studies. Herein, the SARS-CoV-2 and related β coronaviruses Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), SARS-CoV, bat coronavirus (BAT-CoV) were comprehensively analyzed using a custom-built pipeline that employed phylogenetic approaches based on multiple types of genetic markers including the whole genome sequences, mutations in nucleotide sequences, mutations in protein sequences, and microsatellites.

Methods: Equal numbers of samples were collected from four categories of RTE food - burgers, shawarma, pizza and sandwiches - from January 2018 to December 2018. Microbial contamination of individual food samples was assessed by quantifying the total aerobic count obtained from plating samples on bacterial growth medium.
Objective: We aimed to assess the incidence, management, and visual outcome of acute endophthalmitis in patients following intravitreal bevacizumab injection in a tertiary care setup. It was a prospective and single-center database study.
Patients And Methods: Patients receiving intravitreal bevacizumab injections for various retinal vascular diseases from January 2019 to September 2020.
Wheat crop experiences high temperature stress during flowering and grain-filling stages, which is termed as "terminal heat stress". Characterizing genotypes for adaptive traits could increase their selection for better performance under terminal heat stress. The present study evaluated the morpho-physiological traits of two spring wheat cultivars (Millet-11, Punjab-11) and two advanced lines (V-07096, V-10110) exposed to terminal heat stress under late sowing.

It is classified in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder Fifth edition under the "obsessive compulsive and related disorders" section. Often associated with other psychiatric conditions like autism, alcohol abuse, obsessive compulsive, body dysmorphic, mood, anxiety and borderline personality disorders, it is a disorder that is quite often underreported.

Methods: We prospectively reviewed patients throughput during the peak of the global pandemic (7 May 2020 to 7 June 2020) and compared with our historic service provision (7 May 2019 to 7 June 2019).
Nanotechnology is an intensive branch of science due to the unique features of nano range particles (1-100 nm). Their nano size results in a high surface area of absorption when orally administered. Monosodium urate crystal excessive deposition causes a commonly known inflammatory disease called gout into the synovial joints.

For instance, in malignancy-related death, colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of the death in the world and death due to other causes considered as competing causes. We include prognostic variables in the model through parametric Cox proportional hazards model.

The study categorizes the existing literature, based on strategic choice theory and the attribution model, which reveals that green human resource management (GHRM) practices play a crucial role in environmental management and organizational sustainability. This study investigates the impact of GHRM practices including training and development, performance appraisal, and reward and compensation on organizational sustainability through the mediating role of environmental performance and employee performance.

Considering industrial significance of pectinolytic enzymes, the polygalacturonase (PG) gene from grapes was cloned into Escherichia coli DH5α using pTZ57R/T vector. Homologous sequences established a close link to Vitis vinifera.

Glyphosate pesticide induces neurotoxicity both in humans and rodents, but so far only when exposed to higher concentrations. A few studies, however, have also reported the risk of general toxicity of glyphosate at concentrations comparable to allowable limits set up by environmental protection authorities.

Methods: The case-control study was conducted at a tertiary care hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, from October 5, 2017, to January 5, 2018, and comprised patients of cardiovascular disease and healthy controls. Data was collected using questionnaire- based interviews.
Quinoa emerged as an ideal food security crop due to its exceptional nutritive profile and stress enduring potential and also deemed as model plant to study the salt-tolerance mechanisms. However to fill the research gaps of this imperative crop, the present work aimed to study the effect of potassium (K) deficiency either separately or in combination with salinity. First, we investigated the stomatal and physiological based variations in quinoa growth under salinity and K, then series of analytical tools were used with model approach to interpret the stomatal aperture (SA) and photosynthesis (Pn) changes.

The polygenic nature of salinity offers several pragmatic shotgun approaches to improve salinity tolerance. The present study investigated the potential of glutathione (GSH; 1 mM) as an antioxidant and moringa leaf extract (MLE; 3%) as an organic biostimulant applied in sequence as seed priming and foliar spray on wheat growth, physiology and metabolic adaptation under saline conditions (9.

However, such treatment can be associated with significant toxicities especially in older patients and carries practical disadvantages related to a weekly schedule along with financial cost. We retrospectively analyzed patients >65 years of age with APC who received a modified biweekly regimen of gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel to evaluate efficacy and toxicity.
