Rehabilitation of acquired brain injury (ABI) is a complex and costly intervention in which the comprehensive rehabilitation services should be integrated with neurosciences units to provide best possible opportunities of recovery to the patients. Keeping in view the diversity and chronicity of impairments, the follow up needs to be well planned in terms of duration and patient convenience. These types of services need to be run by the government and funded by government, with parallel efforts to make national guidelines and registry to keep a track of patients suffering from ABI.

This study aimed to emphasize facilitation training and strengthening of abdominal and core muscles in improving the inter-recti distance (IRD) and associated low back pain (LBP) among young postpartum females. A single-blinded randomized controlled trial, among forty young postpartum females, was conducted at a community health center. The females were divided into two equal groups through the envelope method where Group A received abdominal crunch training protocol whereas group B received double straight leg raise (DSLR) exercise protocol for 6 weeks and pre and post IRD and Oswestry disability index (ODI) scores were recorded.

Objective: To evaluate the functional status of Pakistani patients with non-cancerous end-stage liver disease selected for liver transplant and to compare results acquired through various assessment tools.

Methods: The study was conducted at the Rehabilitation Medicine Department, Shifa International Hospital Islamabad, Pakistan, from August 2017 to November 2019 and comprised end-stage liver disease patients of either gender who had been selected for liver transplant. Assessment tools included the Six-Minute Walk Distance, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status and Modified Borg Dyspnoea Scale across age, gender, ethnicity, primary aetiology, and Model for end-stage liver disease score.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an emerging biotechnology which uses patient's own blood components to create healing effect to their own injured tissues. This study was carried out to evaluate the clinical effects, adverse reactions and patient satisfaction after intraarticular injection of platelet rich plasma in a small group of patients with internal derangements of knee at Combined Military Hospital, Panoaqil, Pakistan. In this single center, open study, 10 patients with internal derangements of knee fulfilling the inclusion criteria received two doses of 3 ml of platelet rich plasma as intraarticular knee injection at two weeks interval.
