Background: Few studies have been conducted on unintended pregnancies and peripartum depression in Saudi Arabia. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between unplanned pregnancies and peripartum depression among pregnant women in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Methods: This prospective cohort study included pregnant women attending an antenatal care clinic in 2021.
Purpose/background: Our study explores and determines the perception toward insulin among patients with diabetes in the National Guard for Health Affairs (NGHA), Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and aims to gain insight into the causes of refusal. Patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) are likely to need the use of insulin to keep blood glucose levels within normal range and delay the onset of diabetes-related problems. Individuals with diabetes may be hesitant to begin insulin therapy if they have a negative attitude toward it, which might add to the delay in beginning treatment.

Aims: To explore the impact of the coronavirus disease lockdown on diabetes patients living in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in terms of their compliance with medication intake and lifestyle habits, and quality of life.
Methods: In this cross-sectional, qualitative prospective study, a questionnaire was administered over the telephone to diabetes patients who had attended National Guard primary care centers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The survey included questions on demographic data, type of diabetes, medications used, comorbidities, medication compliance, and daily habits before and after the lockdown, and those assessing patients' psychological parameters during the past month by using the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10).
Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a prevalent health problem, not only globally, but also in Saudi Arabia. A growing body of literature suggests a bi-directional association between T2DM and various mental health disorders.
