Nesfatin-1, a recently discovered satiety molecule, is localized in neurons of the hypothalamus and brain stem and colocalized with stress-related substances. However, the relation between nesfatin-1 and stressor related behaviors like anxiety and/or fear has not yet been investigated in human subjects. In the present study, our aim was to investigate whether there was a relationship between plasma nesfatin-1 levels and generalized anxiety disorder.

Social support is a very important aspect in debilitating diseases. OSAS is a disabling disease that impairs social functioning and accounts for a large socio-economic burden for the community. In this study our aim is to investigate social support levels among OSAS patients: 85 of them with the diagnosis of OSAS were enrolled in the study.

The aim of the current study was to evaluate the prevalence of psychopathological symptoms in patients who self-reported different forms of bruxism by means of clinical and anamnestic diagnostic criteria. Eighty-five participants were divided into four groups as sleep bruxers (12), awake bruxers (24), sleep-awake bruxers (33), and non-bruxers (16). A self-report symptom inventory questionnaire (Symptom Checklist-90-Revised (SCL-90-R)) was filled out by all groups to determine their psychopathological symptoms.
