Mini-PCNL is one of the most effective surgical methods in the treatment of kidney stones in pediatric patients. In this study, we aimed to compare PCNL in the supine-prone position in pediatric patients (especially operation time, postop complications, hospital stay and stone-free rates).We conducted our study in a randomized and prospective manner.

Background: This study intended to investigate irisin levels in bladder cancer patients and healthy controls.

The effect of plasma rich platelet graft on post-operative complications in mid-penile hypospadias.

Hypospadias is one of the most common penile congenital anomalies, which often requires a surgical approach. After the hypospadias is repaired, urethral fistula can occur in around 20% of patients. In this study, we used platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to reduce the urethral fistula and other post-operative complications after hypospadias repair.

Can the Irisin be a Biomarker for Prostate Cancer? A Case Control Study.

Aim: There is much evidence of an association between cancer and irisin that is an adipokine. This study researched on the relationship between prostate cancer (PCa) and irisin levels, and whether irisin can be used as a biomarker in the diagnosis of PCa.

Materials And Methods: For the study groups, 50 primary PCa patients and 30 healthy male subjects were included in the PCa and healthy control groups, respectively.

Oxidant-antioxidant levels in patients with bladder tumours.

Purpose: We have aimed to determine whether oxidants-antioxidants play a role in the etiopathogenesis of bladder tumour by measuring their levels in the serums of patients with bladder tumour.

Material Method: Thirty patients with bladder tumour with superficial bladder tumour and 27 normal healthy volunteers were included in the study. Four cc of venous blood was taken from these patients and volunteers in the control group and centrifuged at 5000 rpm for 10 minutes and divided into serum and plasma.

Determination of oxidative stress levels and some antioxidant enzyme activities in prostate cancer.

In this study, the antioxidant enzyme activities such as (SOD, GSH, and CAT) and malondialdehyde (MDA) level which is the end product of lipid peroxidation, were determined from the serum samples taken from patients diagnosed with prostate cancer Van Yuzuncu Yıl University Medical Faculty of Educational Research and Training Hospital and İstanbul Bagcilar Education Research Hospital. The SOD, GSH, and CAT activity of patient groups was found significantly lower than the healthy control group in patients with prostate cancer ( < .05).

However, penile micro traumas are thought to be important in the pathogenesis of Peyronie's disease (PD) in genetically predisposed individuals. BACKGROUND Oxidative DNA damage is associated with male infertility. The aim of this study was to evaluate the oxidative DNA damage of sperm cells and blood leukocytes and to determine the levels of MDA and NO levels in seminal and blood plasma of idiopathic infertile men. MATERIAL AND METHODS The study enrolled 52 patients, including 30 infertile and 22 fertile men.

Fournier's gangrene: Causes, presentation and survival of sixty-five patients.

Objective: To report our experience with Fournier's Gangrene (FG) over the past eight years and evaluate the predisposing factors which affect the mortality.

Methods: Sixty-five patients who were admitted to emergency surgical unit of our institution presenting with FG between January 2006 and August 2014 were included. The anatomical site of infective gangrene, predisposing factors, etiological factors, and outcomes were retrospectively reviewed.

A Rare Complication Observed during Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy: Foreign Body Migration from the Right Kidney to the Left Lung.

Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PNL) is the first-line treatment in large, multiple stones and lower calyceal stones. Majority of complications associated with PNL are minor and clinically insignificant. It was seen that distal piece (2 cm in size) of ureter catheter observed at pelvis was found at the parenchyma of left lung on the perioperative fluoroscopy in the patient undergoing PNL for right kidney stone.

Isolated renal pelvis rupture secondary to blunt trauma: Case report.

Introduction: Isolated rupture of the renal pelvis is a very rare condition and thus causes delays in the diagnosis of the rupture. It is most commonly seen in the setting of obstructive ureteric calculus. Other rare causes include neoplasms, trauma, and iatrogenic procedures.

Cutaneous Ewing's sarcoma secondary to chemotherapy given for testis tumor: Case report.

Introduction: Testicular cancer has high cure rates, especially after the adjuvant use of chemotherapy. Secondary tumors may develop months and years after the primary tumor. We aimed to report a case of cutaneous Ewing's sarcoma at the site of surgery 3 years after BEP chemotherapy.
