Cannabis is the most commonly consumed recreational drug in the world. As more states legalize cannabis use in some form, the incidence of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) is expected to rise. CHS is a constellation of symptoms including severe cyclical nausea and vomiting and epigastric or periumbilical abdominal pain as a result of long-term cannabis use.

This clinical case report highlights a unique presentation of chronic pancreatitis. A middle-aged man developed abdominal pain, and repeat imaging showed an interval increase in size of a known pancreatic lesion.

Data comparing the sensitivity and specificity of the NP specimen to the less invasive, mid-turbinate (MT) nasal specimen in children are limited.
Methods: Paired clinical NP and research MT specimens were collected from children <18 years with respiratory symptoms and tested by molecular assays to detect SARS-CoV-2 RNA.

Arteriovenous malformations (AVM) are most commonly found in the gastrointestinal tract, and presentation can range from asymptomatic to massive gastrointestinal hemorrhage. This case highlights a unique presentation of AVMs. During a screening colonoscopy, a 5-cm mass was discovered in the transverse colon encompassing 25% to 50% of the circumference of the lumen.

In this study, we assessed the role of Gal and its receptors, Gal receptor 1 (GalR1) and Gal receptor 2 (GalR2), in cholangiocyte proliferation and liver fibrosis in multidrug resistance protein 2 knockout (Mdr2KO) mice as a model of chronic hepatic cholestasis. The distribution of Gal, GalR1, and GalR2 in specific liver cell types was assessed by laser-capture microdissection and confocal microscopy.
