Their occurrence in pediatric and adolescent populations is uncommon, and relatively few cases have been documented in the literature, particularly in lower-resourced settings. This case highlights the importance of recognizing that although uncommon, fibroids can occur in much younger populations.

Over 98% of stillbirths and neonatal deaths occur in Low- and Middle-Income Countries, such as Tanzania. Despite the profound burden of perinatal loss in these regions, access to facility or community-based palliative and psychosocial care is poor and understudied. Despite been accepted as safe procedure, caesarean delivery has an increased risk of adverse maternal and fetal outcomes. The rising rate of caesarean delivery has been a major public health concern worldwide and the consequences that come along with it urgently need to be assessed, especially in resource limited settings.
