Although many different causes for meningitis (viruses and bacteria) have been diagnosed, the most common ones are Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae, and Streptococcus pneumoniae. The effort to find a new method for detection of bacterial meningitis is an urgent need for clinical treatment.
