Alzheimer's disease causes gradual, persistent deterioration of cognitive function in the elderly, causing social and economic damage to society. Over the past decades, mankind has made significant progress in the study of Alzheimer's disease, but there are no methods to fully control the disease. The lack of effectiveness of existing treatment methods emphasizes the need to search for new approaches.

[Synthesis and neurologic action of new 11-substituted 5H-dibenzo[b,e][1,4]diazepines].

The synthesis of the title compounds is described. The compounds are characterized by having no cataleptogenic effect and no antagonistic effect against amphetamine stereotypies in experimental animals. The pharmacological results of the rota-rod, spontaneous motility, aggression-test, hexobarbital-potentiation and antagonism to physostigmine are reported.
