Methods: In the current study, we investigated the morphological differences, proliferation capacity, population doubling time (PDT), surface marker profiling, trilineage differentiation potential, and immunosuppressive ability of BM Mesenchymal Stem Cells (BM-MSCs) from untreated aAA patients and in the same number of age- and gender-matched controls.
Results: We observed similar morphology, proliferation capacity, phenotype, trilineage differentiation potential, and immunomodulatory properties of BM-MSCs in aAA patients and control subjects.
Conclusion: Our results confirm that the basic and immunosuppressive properties of BM-MSCs from aAA patients do not differ from normal BM-MSCs.
Objectives: This project aimed to assess the effectiveness of a community-based theatre intervention to improve attitudes towards and increase knowledge about LGBTQ+ communities among audiences in Mumbai, India.
Study Design: This study was a program evaluation using pre- and post-show surveys that incorporated an adapted version of The Riddle Scale: Attitudes Towards Difference and questions assessing self-reported knowledge about LGBTQ+-related issues to assess changes in attitudes and knowledge after viewing the theatre intervention.
Methods: An original 90-min devised play was created by a company of Indian, American, and Canadian theatre artists using Participatory Action Research methods and was designed to bring audiences to a deeper understanding of LGBTQ+ identity.
Research on transmasculine people's health is scant globally, including in India. We explored transmasculine people's experiences in affirming their gender in family and social spaces, and how those experiences impact mental health. In 2019, we conducted four focus groups ( = 17 participants) and 10 in-depth interviews with transmasculine people in Mumbai and Chennai.

We examined PrEP awareness and willingness to use PrEP in order to support products and services for MSM. From December 2016 to March 2017, we conducted a survey and discrete choice experiment (DCE)-a technique to quantify the strength of participants' trade-off preferences among various product attributes-to assess willingness to use PrEP and related preferences.

Materials And Methods: The study included 206 patients of organ confined prostate cancer managed at our centre between March 2014 and December 2018.The patients were randomly distributed into two comparable groups with respect to age, height, weight and BMI, with 100 patients in control and 106 patients in study group.
We describe here a multiproxy dataset (grain size, environmental magnetism, stable carbon isotope, total nitrogen, and total organic carbon) generated on a ~116 cm long trench profile from the high altitude alpine Badnikund lake in the Central Himalaya. The dataset also includes environmental magnetic and organic geochemistry data on catchment soils of the Bednikund lake. The presented data is related to the research article "Middle Holocene Indian summer monsoon variability and its impact on cultural changes in the Indian subcontinent" [1].

As current HIV prevention interventions in India do not address mental health or resilience to these stressors, we aimed to evaluate a resilience-based psychosocial intervention in the context of HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention.
Methods: We did a multicity, randomised, clinical efficacy trial in Chennai (governmental tuberculosis research institute) and Mumbai (non-governmental organisation for MSM), India.
Cinnamate-based polyesters were synthesized, including poly(4-hydroxycinnamic acid), poly(4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic acid), poly(3-hydroxycinnamic acid) (P3HCA), and hyperbranched poly(3,4-dihydroxycinnamic acid) (PdHCA). These materials were further processed into hard and dry membranes by casting and underwent photoreactions by ultraviolet (UV) light. The photodeformation behavior of the linear and hyperbranched polyester containing membranes with cinnamate derivatives in the main chain was observed macroscopically and microscopically.

We present a phase 3 immunogenicity and safety study of the 9vHPV vaccine in women 27-45 versus 16-26 years of age.
Methods: This international, open-label study (NCT03158220) was conducted in women 16-45 years of age.
The study's purpose was to fabricate a 3-D porous scaffold, in which chitosan was coated onto the pore wall of polycaprolactone (PCL) scaffolds as a bioactive agent to maximize the cell recognition signals, to improve the osteoconductivity of the scaffolds. The pppporogen leaching technique has been modified and used in the fabrication process, comprising of the coating of chitosan over the porogen followed by transferring of coating to the pore wall of the PCL scaffold. The cytotoxicity and hemolysis results indicated chitosan's presence over the surface of the scaffold's pore walls has significantly enhanced its biocompatibility.

However, oral administration of naloxone offers limitations such as its extensive first-pass metabolism that results in poor therapeutic effects. In order to resolve this issue, we developed intranasal solid-lipid nanoparticles in which naloxone was incorporated for the higher brain disposition of naloxone with superior therapeutic effects for the reversal of toxicity of opioid overdose.

In order to support PrEP roll-out for MSM, we assessed: (1) associations between guideline-informed PrEP eligibility, HIV risk perception, and perceived PrEP benefits and costs, with willingness to use PrEP (WTUP); and (2) correlates of non-WTUP among PrEP-eligible MSM. Data were collected from MSM ( = 197) sampled from cruising sites in Mumbai and Chennai.

Concerns: Out of four, three pregnant women were discharged with mild symptoms but one pregnant woman admitted at 24 weeks gestation with 3 days of vomiting, breathlessness, and cough had fatal outcome.
Pain is a noxious stimulus caused due to tissue damage and varies from mild to severe. Nalbuphine (NLB) is an approved, inexpensive, non-controlled, opioid agonist/antagonist analgesic used worldwide in various clinical settings for pain management. The current study aims to formulate NLB loaded solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) using solvent injection technology.

This implies a risk of losing vital information from previous generations regarding plants and their use in traditional medicine. The objective of this study is to catalog the ways employed by inhabitants of the Garhwal Himalayas as part of their traditional approaches to healthcare.

Plants were exposed for 45 days to freshly prepared or soil-aged (35 days) nanoparticulate CuO (nCuO), bulk-scale CuO (bCuO), or CuSO at 0 (control), 400, 400, and 40 mg/kg of soil, respectively. Foliar health, gas exchange, pigment content (chlorophyll and carotenoid), catalase and ascorbate peroxidase enzymes, gene expression, and Cu bioaccumulation were evaluated along with SEM imagery for select samples.

Materials And Methods: The expression of A20 was analysed using IHC in 50 breast cancer cases retrieved from the Sharjah Breast Cancer Center at the University Hospital Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Aims: To evaluate the quality of care in known diabetes patients of Delhi.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted using a two-stage cluster design. In all, 30 of 150 wards were chosen in Stage 1 (using a random computer-generated seed value and then selecting wards at a predefined sampling interval; Probability Proportionate to Size-Systematic) and one colony from each ward was selected randomly in Stage 2.

GSK3β, a ubiquitously expressed Ser/Thr kinase, regulates cell metabolism, proliferation and differentiation. Its activity is spatially and temporally regulated dependent on external stimuli and interacting partners, and its deregulation is associated with various human disorders. In this study, we identify C3G (RapGEF1), a protein essential for mammalian embryonic development as an interacting partner and substrate of GSK3β.
