- - The study evaluated the presence of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus (MRS) on the skin and in the nasal cavities of healthcare workers (HCWs), finding a significant number were carriers of these resistant bacteria, particularly MRSA among male HCWs and MRSE among nurses.
- - Swab samples collected from HCWs were cultured to identify MRS and assess their susceptibility to antibiotics, showing a high incidence of methicillin resistance particularly in doctors and nurses.
- - The findings indicated the need for improved preventive measures against the spread of these infections in hospitals, with vancomycin suggested as a highly effective treatment for MRSA and MRSE infections.
