- This study assessed the relationship between visceral adiposity and the severity of AP by measuring the visceral adipose tissue (VAT) area in patients admitted with the condition.
- Results showed that individuals with severe pancreatitis had larger VAT areas, suggesting that VAT could be a useful predictor of AP severity, warranting further research into its role as a prognostic indicator.
