Liposarcoma is one of the most common soft tissue malignancies in adults, accounting for 15% to 20% of all sarcomas. We report a case of the largest dedifferentiated gastric liposarcoma recorded to date in a patient who presented with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Initial pathology reports indicated a benign cause even after multiple biopsies were performed; only after surgical resection was the diagnosis confirmed.

Synchronous gastric and colon cancer although reported from East Asia (China, Japan, Korea) remain rare in other parts of the world. We present the case of a 50-year-old lady who presented to the Hialeah Hospital, USA with an eight-month history of generalized abdominal pain and upon investigation was found to have dual gastric and colonic malignancy. While the incidence of gastric cancer has dropped drastically in the USA, colon cancer remains the third most frequent cancer in both men and women.

They are especially difficult to diagnose due to their location and non-specific symptoms and are often overlooked because of their positioning between muscular layers. Amebiasis presenting as acute appendicitis is extremely rare. The case of a 38-year-old Hispanic man who presented to the hospital with symptoms and signs suggestive of acute appendicitis is reported. He underwent laparoscopic appendectomy and the pathologic examination of the appendix revealed multiple trophozoites of Entamoeba histolytica.
