Hyperlipidemia, the most common form of dyslipidemia, is the main source of cardiovascular disorders, characterized by elevated level of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) with high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) in peripheral blood. It is caused by a defect in lipid metabolism in the surface of Apoprotein C-II or a defect in lipoprotein lipase activity as well as reported in genetic, dietary and environmental factors. Several electronic databases were investigated as information sources, including Google Scholar, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, Semantic Scholar, MEDLINE and CNKI Scholar.

Therefore, in the current study, magnetic nickel ferrite (NiFeO) nanoparticles (NFNPs) were synthesized and evaluated for their possible adverse effects in rabbits. The crystallinity of the synthesized NFNPs was confirmed using X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique.

Nevertheless, the acknowledgment of phenolic compounds in bell peppers is still limited. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the phenolic content and the antioxidant potential in pulps and seeds of different bell peppers (green, yellow, and red) by several in vitro assays followed by the characterization and quantification of individual phenolics using liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization-quadrupole-time-of-flight-mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-QTOF-MS/MS) and high-performance liquid chromatography photodiode array (HPLC-PDA) quantification, respectively.

Background: Hypokalemic periodic paralysis is a chronic condition characterized by sporadic attacks of weakness associated with acute hypokalemia. Attacks are typically associated with specific triggers, such as prolonged rest following exercise or consumption of a high-carbohydrate meal. Most commonly, this condition is caused by an autosomal dominant calcium channel mutation, and patients typically have an established family medical history of hypokalemic periodic paralysis.

Surgery, chemotherapy, hormone, radiation, and targeted therapies are examples of traditional cancer treatment approaches. However, multiple short- and long-term adverse effects may also significantly affect patient prognosis depending on treatment-associated clinical factors.

Studies of the ethyl acetate extract bark extract of led to the isolation of one new compound Ferruginan A (1) in addition to two known compounds, Ferruginan (2) and cycloolivil (3). Structures of the isolated compounds were confirmed by mass spectrometry (MS) and NMR spectral data. The ethyl acetate fraction and compounds (1-3) were evaluated against breast cancer cell line (MCF-7) and as antioxidants using the free radical scavenging assay.

Methods: The pure compounds were characterized with the help of H-NMR, FT-IR, EIMS spectroscopic techniques.
To prospect an isozyme-specific, effective inhibitor against the physiologically-crucial enzyme phosphodiesterase 1 (PDE1), phytochemicals from galls were screened. The chloroform fraction of gall extract was subjected to column chromatographic which led to the isolation of compound , elucidated to be 5-hydroxy-7-methoxy-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-4-chromen-4-one (a flavone). and in silico PDE1 inhibitory activity of the compound was investigated.
