Background: B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-cell ALL) is the most common childhood cancer. Despite a high overall cure rate, relapsed B-cell ALL remains a leading cause of cancer-related death among children. The addition of the bispecific T-cell engager molecule blinatumomab (an anti-CD19 and anti-CD3 single-chain molecule) to therapy for newly diagnosed standard-risk (as defined by the National Cancer Institute) B-cell ALL in children may improve outcomes.

This study analyzed the residue depletion kinetics of ivermectin (IVM) in Nelore and crossbred (Nelore x Angus) cattle aiming to compare the profiles between the breeds and evaluate the residue levels at the injection site. IVM 1%, at a dose of 0.2 mg/kg, was administered the subcutaneous route, and tissue samples were collected on different days post administration for analysis by LC-MS/MS.

Each pegylated Escherichia coli asparaginase dose remaining in a patient's treatment plan was replaced by intramuscular (IM) or IV JZP458 (6 doses) administered Monday/Wednesday/Friday (MWF). Three IM cohorts (1a [25 mg/m2 MWF], n = 33; 1b [37.

Speed-of-sound (SoS) is an emerging ultrasound contrast modality, where pulse-echo techniques using conventional transducers offer multiple benefits. For estimating tissue SoS distributions, spatial domain reconstruction from relative speckle shifts between different beamforming sequences is a promising approach. This operates based on a forward model that relates the sought local values of SoS to observed speckle shifts, for which the associated image reconstruction inverse problem is solved.

We describe a unique patient with dual diagnoses of PDCD10-related cerebral cavernous malformations and ETV6-related thrombocytopenia with associated neutropenia. She presented with brain abscesses as an infant, which is highly atypical for these disorders in isolation.

Treatment is not uniform, with management varying from observation to stem cell transplant. The aim of our retrospective review is to describe the treatment and outcomes of a cohort of patients with JMML or Noonan Syndrome-associated Myeloproliferative Disorder (NS-MPD) to provide management guidance for this rare and heterogeneous disease.

However, app-based psychological data also pose data-analytic challenges because of the complexities introduced by missingness and interdependence of observations. Consequently, researchers must weigh the advantages and disadvantages of app-based data collection to decide on the scientific utility of their proposed app study.

An assortment of mouse models have been engineered to explore the tumorigenic potential and malignant lineage bias due to loss of function of DNMT3A in consort with commonly comutated genes in myeloid malignancies, such as Flt3, Nras, Kras, and c-Kit. We employed several tamoxifen-inducible Cre-ER murine model systems to study the effects of constitutively active Kras-driven myeloid leukemia (Kras) development together with heterozygous (3aHet) or homozygous Dnmt3a deletion (3aKO).

As pharmaceutical innovations develop, guidelines are updated to incorporate new interventions. However, the extent to which pharmacotherapies are represented as treatment options in guideline recommendations has not been well elucidated.

This interpersonal perception, known as meta-liking, is especially relevant during adolescence, when peer relationships deepen and expand. However, knowledge is limited regarding meta-liking formation in initial social interactions.

Studying the case of myocardial infarction (MI), we investigated how MI-related mortality at ages 65+ varies between rural and urban regions in Germany and to what extent differences are driven by varying case fatality and disease incidence.
Methods: The study relies on data containing all hospitalizations, cause-specific deaths and population counts for the total German population between years 2012-2018 and ages 65+.
Background: Blinatumomab is an immunotherapy agent used in pediatric oncology for the treatment of B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Administration of blinatumomab, via continuous 28-day infusion cycles, can present multiple decision points and challenges related to patient care. Nurses are at the forefront of coordinating and delivering care for patients receiving blinatumomab.

In two studies (Ns = 355, 303), the current research explores individual differences in how variable people's first impressions are across targets (i.e.

Some LIS programs have health sciences courses or tracks, but health sciences training within an LIS program is only one path to entering health sciences librarianship. To develop a map of pathways into health sciences librarianship, an immersion session at the Medical Library Association conference in 2022 asked health sciences librarians to share how they entered the profession.
