Methods: Participants aged ≥60 years were recruited. A comprehensive eye examination was conducted by trained examiners and interventions were provided.
We report prevalence and risk factors for multimorbidity and multi-disability among elderly people in residential care in the Hyderabad region in South India. In total, 1182 elderly (aged ≥ 60) participants were examined in 41 homes for the aged centres. Detailed interviews were conducted by trained personnel to collect personal and demographic information.

Purpose: To report the barriers for seeking eye care among the elderly population aged ≥60 years with avoidable vision impairment (VI) in the South Indian state of Telangana.
Methods: A total of 3640 participants aged ≥60 years were recruited using cluster-random sampling. Demographic information, including presenting visual acuity, was measured using the standard Rapid Assessment of Visual Impairment (RAVI) protocol.
