Implementing a hydrogen economy on an industrial scale poses challenges, particularly in developing cost-effective and stable catalysts for water electrolysis. This study explores the catalytic potential of selenium nanoparticles (Se-NPs) synthesized via a simple chemical bath deposition method for electrochemical and photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting. The successful fabrication of Se-NPs on fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) electrodes has been confirmed using a wide range of analytical tools like X-ray diffraction, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.

Methods: This retrospective, multicenter study evaluated 233 mCRPC patients treated with Lu PSMA at 5 European centers.
This study aimed to evaluate the effects of date pomace fibers (DF) on the physicochemical properties of plant-based ground patty analogues. Previously optimized pea and wheat protein isolates were incorporated with varying concentrations of DF, i.e.

Focusing on these outcomes is crucial for understanding the extent of disability patients experience and identifying potential post-discharge interventions to optimize recovery. Studies reflecting the experience from low- and middle-income countries in this area are limited.

These compounds were assessed for in vitro and in vivo antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities. Among the synthesized molecules, compound 5b demonstrated remarkable antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis with MIC values of 20 and 40 μg/mL, respectively.

Scrotal hematoma is a rare presentation of bleeding complications after transfemoral cardiac catheterization. We report a case of this rare complication.

In this study, we evaluated the safety, biodistribution and radiation dosimetry of the glucose analogue positron emission tomography (PET) agent [F] labeled alpha-methyl-4-deoxy-4-[F]fluoro-D-glucopyranoside ([F]Me4FDG) with high sodium-glucose cotransporter and low glucose transporter (GLUT) affinity. For this purpose, five healthy volunteers (1 man, 4 women) underwent multiple whole-body PET/computed tomography (CT) examinations starting with injection and up to 4 h after injection of averaged (2.

However, little is known about PSMA expression in healthy organs in this cohort. Collectively, 202 [Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 positron emission tomography (PET) scans from 152 patients were studied.

Methods: This comparative quasi-experimental trial was conducted in OBS/GYN department from May 2019 to Jan 2020. The final year MBBS students of Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Lahore, who attended the clinical rotation of Gynae OBS were enrolled in the study using consecutive sampling.
Objectives: Post-discharge patient-reported outcomes from trauma registries can be used to measure trauma care quality. However, studies reflecting the Asian experience are limited. Therefore, we aim to develop a digital trauma registry to prospectively capture patient-reported outcomes (PROs) at one-, three-, six-, and twelve-months post-injury in Pakistan.

However, narrowing the performance gap between synthetic composites and biocomposites requires serious efforts. A promising approach is the modification of natural fibers using various chemical treatments.

Hybrid imaging by positron emission tomography and computed tomography (PET/CT) is a highly relevant imaging modality for diagnostics and disease surveillance but may be associated with a significant amount of radiation dose especially in patients with complications.
Objective: The aim of this retrospective analysis was to compare the image quality and impact of hybrid imaging methods PET/CT and PET/MRI on the potential for dose reduction.
Background: Depending on the risk of LN metastasis ePLND at RP is recommended. As ePLND has potential side effects, and diagnostics have improved substantially, our objective was to evaluate the performance of the Briganti 2019 nomogram in a contemporary cohort with preoperative negative PSMA-PET.
Methods: Patients with intermediate- and high-risk prostate cancer (CaP), undergoing RP and ePND at our center with preoperative negative [Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET were included.
The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) conducts active, case-based national antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance in Bangladesh. The Capturing Data on Antimicrobial Resistance Patterns and Trends in Use in Regions of Asia (CAPTURA) project accessed aggregated retrospective data from non-IEDCR study sites and 9 IEDCR sites to understand the pattern and extent of AMR and to use analyzed data to guide ongoing and future national AMR surveillance in both public and private laboratories. Record-keeping practices, data completeness, quality control, and antimicrobial susceptibility test practices were investigated in all laboratories participating in case-based IEDCR surveillance and laboratory-based CAPTURA sites.

Objectives: A diverse set of trauma scoring systems are used globally to predict outcomes and benchmark trauma systems. There is a significant potential benefit of using these scores in low and middle-income countries (LMICs); however, its standardized use based on type of injury is still limited. Our objective is to compare trauma scoring systems between neurotrauma and polytrauma patients to identify the better predictor of mortality in low-resource settings.

Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the serological evidence of both diseases in commercial poultry (broiler, layer chickens), backyard poultry, and captive wild birds in poultry‑dense regions of Punjab, Pakistan. Enzyme‑linked immunosorbent (ELISA) and haemagglutination inhibition (HI) assays were performed for the determination of antibodies against NDV and AIV and their genotyping and subtyping, respectively.

Quantitative parameters were calculated from dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) imaging (tumor Mean Transit Time, Volume Distribution, Plasma Flow), diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) (tumor ADCmean), and PET (tumor SUVmax, mean and minimum, SUVmean of ipsilateral breast parenchyma). Manual whole-lesion segmentation was also performed on DCE, T2-weighted, DWI, and PET images, and radiomic features were extracted.
