Background: Remedial teaching is a tailored educational approach dedicated to enhancing the academic performance of students facing challenges within the curriculum. By identifying and addressing specific learning difficulties, it provides essential support and guidance to bring students closer to expected standards while preventing future setbacks. We hypothesize that underperforming medical students who receive daily, tailored remediation will demonstrate significant improvement in their formative and summative assessment scores in biochemistry.

Clinical Features of Unrecognized Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia Due to 17α-hydroxylase Deficiency Since Adolescence: A Case Report.

The majority of patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) present with a deficiency of 21-hydroxylase or 11-beta-hydroxylase, which account for 90% and 7% of cases, respectively. However, CAH due to 17α-hydroxylase deficiency (17OHD) is an extremely rare form of CAH (<1% of all CAH cases) that leads to a deficiency of cortisol and sex steroids, along with features of aldosterone excess. This is a case of a 51-year-old single female who was referred to us for the evaluation of new-onset hypertension and hypokalaemia of one-year duration.

While the disease presentation is predominantly asymptomatic in developed countries, this is not the case yet in India. Improving 'Hand-Hygiene Compliance' among the Health Care Personnel in the Special Newborn Care Unit.

Objectives: To improve the hand-hygiene (HH) compliance among the health care personnel from 69 to 85% by 4 mo plan-do-study-act (PDSA) cycles, based on the WHO's five moments of hand hygiene and to study the impact of HH compliance upon the health care-associated infections (HAI) rate in the authors' special newborn care unit.

Methods: HH compliance study was undertaken based on the prioritization matrix. The barriers to HH compliance were identified and evaluated using fishbone analysis.

However, there has been little and insignificant research into the use of SWP in ruminants to date. In this view, the present study was conducted in two phases to evaluate the effect of different inclusion levels of defatted silkworm pupae meal (DSWP) on rumen fermentation, microbial protein synthesis and nutrient utilisation in cattle fed on finger millet straw (FMS)-based diet.

Potentially malignant disorders (PMDs) of oral cavity and oral cancer remain a cause of serious concern despite intensive research and development. Diet and immunity have been identified to play a crucial role as modifying factors in these diseases. Our study intended to explore this relationship by estimating and comparing the serum levels of copper, iron and circulating immune complexes (CICs) in patients diagnosed with PMDs and oral cancer and normal healthy individuals.
