A soft tissue infection caused by Kluyvera species in a previously healthy woman is described. Successful treatment required incision and drainage of the wound in addition to administration of antibiotics. Kluyvera species are indole positive, Voges-Proskauer negative members of the family Enterobacteriaceae.
