Depression and its role in adherence to anti-retroviral treatment in people living with HIV and AIDS in Chennai.

Context: The AIDS epidemic has drastically reduced in India since it was first identified in 1986, largely due to the widespread availability of anti-retroviral treatment (ART). Management of HIV is currently more focussed on long term morbidities, including mental health. Depression is the most common co-morbidity seen in people living with HIV.
