Outcomes of Cyanoacrylate Tissue Adhesive Application in Corneal Thinning and Perforation.

Purpose: To report the outcomes of cyanoacrylate tissue adhesive (CTA) application in corneal thinning and perforation.

Methods: A retrospective interventional case series of 137 patients receiving CTA for corneal thinning and perforation in 140 eyes between 2001 and 2018 at a single center was reviewed. Success rate and factors associated with glue failure were analyzed.

The novel use of bevacizumab and photodynamic therapy in the treatment of best disease.

Purpose: To report on the novel use of bevacizumab (Avastin) in combination with photodynamic therapy (PDT) for the treatment of Best disease with choroidal neovascularization.

Methods: A 17-year-old girl with Best disease, choroidal neovascularization, and subretinal hemorrhage in the right eye was treated with bevacizumab and PDT.

Results: The use of bevacizumab and PDT was associated with a change in vision from counting fingers to 20/25 and was well tolerated by the patient.

Background: To determine the benefits of image relocation (IR) with prisms in patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Methods: This was a retrospective comparative interventional case series of 100 patients with AMD and 5 years of available follow-up records. Participants underwent complete low vision (LV) assessments, including identification of preferred retinal locus (PRL).
