The high rate of microbes and their biological activity in the patient's mouth is a concern in the domains of dental caries and periodontal disease. The study aimed to shed light on the relationship between graphene oxide's nanoparticles (nGOs) antimicrobial properties and the growth of dental pathogenic bacteria. A Rare Case of Human Diphallia Associated with Hypospadias.

Diphallia or penile duplication is a rare congenital variant with an estimated frequency of 1 per 5 to 6 million live births. The extent of duplication varies widely and typically occurs with other malformations including urogenital, gastrointestinal, and musculoskeletal anomalies. Morphological re-description and new geographical records for three digenean parasites infecting African sharptooth catfish Clarias gariepinus (Pisces: Clariidae) in Egypt.

Sixty specimens of African sharptooth catfish Clarias gariepinus (Clariidae) were collected during the period of March 2014-February 2015 from boat landing sites and fishermen of the River Nile at Beni Suef Governorate, Egypt, and examined for the presence of digenean parasites. The morphology of these parasites was studied by using light microscopy to describe morphological and morphometrically measurements for different body parts. Three digenean species belonging to three different genera were collected from various organs within the examined fish species.

Objectives: Both visual hallucinations and cognitive dysfunction are experienced by a significant number of patients with Parkinson's disease. There were three main objectives of this study: (1) to determine if there is a difference in the prevalence of dementia in patients with tremor versus non-tremor dominant Parkinson's; (2) to determine if there is a difference of prevalence of visual hallucinations in patients with tremor and non-tremor dominant Parkinson's disease; and (3) to determine if there is a relationship between visual hallucinations and dementia in Parkinson's disease patients.

Impact of ethnicity on non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative illness characterized by various non-motor symptoms that may contribute to disability, impaired quality of life and shortened life expectancy. The aim of present study was to determine the relative prevalence of common non-motor symptoms in various ethnic groups. A retrospective chart analysis was performed on Parkinson's disease patients where a total of 314 PD patients from six ethnic categories were examined for the occurrence of anxiety, visual hallucinations, nocturia, drooling and dementia.

Factors affecting pain in Parkinson's disease.

Background: Despite being an important non-motor symptom of PD, pain remains largely understudied in PD patients. Experiencing symptoms of pain is highly disruptive of general functioning, as it may hinder both physical prowess and psychological well-being. Although pain is prevalent in the otherwise healthy geriatric population, its increased presence in PD, and the difficulty it poses when combined with other hallmark motor symptoms necessitates further investigation.
