Background: Sleep is vital for maintaining overall health and influencing various physiological and psychological processes. Disruptions in sleep quality are linked to adverse health outcomes, including obesity and cardiovascular disease, particularly among young adults who are often exposed to stress and lifestyle changes. This study investigates the relationship between anthropometric indices of obesity measured through body mass index (BMI), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), and waist circumference (WC) and sleep disturbances in young adults.

This was a prospective cohort study, to study the incidence, risk factors, and outcomes of AKI among sick neonates. We included sick inborn neonates admitted at a level III neonatal intensive care unit.

Methods: A total of 120 patients were randomly assigned to three groups: Group 1 (Root ZX Mini Apex Locator), Group 2 (Minipex Apex Locator), and Group 3 (Endopilot Endomotor with built-in Apex Locator). Working length was determined using respective devices, followed by canal preparation and radiographic confirmation with a master cone.

L-Tyrosine (L-Tyr), a critical amino acid whose aberrant levels impact melanin and dopamine levels in human body while also increasing insulin resistance thereby increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes. The objective of this study was to detect the amount of L-Tyr in human fluids by tailored electrochemical synthesis of well adhered, homogenous and thin molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) by the electro-polymerization of pyrrole on glassy carbon electrode modified functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The key benefits of this procedure over previous imprinting techniques were the elimination of expensive materials like Au and tedious multi-step synthesis, for L-Tyr detection using a handheld potentiostat.

The latest advances in brain tumor detection systems (BTDS) are presented as they can inspire new researchers to deliver new architectures for effective and efficient tumor detection. Here, the data of the multi-modal brain tumor segmentation task is employed, which has been registered, skull stripped, and histogram matching is conducted with the ferrous volume of high contrast.

Methodology: Surface roughness was estimated using the Talysurf instrument, and microhardness was estimated using the Vickers hardness tester before and after the application of whitening toothpastes on mounted extracted human teeth.
Results: In the activated charcoal group, there was a reduction in the surface roughness from 1.
Background: Cleaning and shaping represent a vital step in the endodontic procedure. In routine endodontic therapy, the fracture of nickel-titanium (NiTi) instruments is a procedural problem creating a major obstacle to therapy.
Aim: This study examines the life span of one Neoendo Flex and ProTaper Next (PTN) rotary file using reciprocating motion and compares the time required by both file systems for canal preparation.
Aim And Objective: The objective of this study was to assess and compare the dimensions (width (W), height (H), and length (L)) of the tuberosity distal to maxillary permanent second molar in individuals with skeletal and dental Class I and Class II malocclusions who had maxillary third molar agenesis.
Methodology: Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) was used to measure the left (L) and right (R) anatomical tuberosity dimensions in three dimensions using the WillMaster software (HDX WILL Corporation, Korea). The measurements were compared between Class I (n = 35) and Class II (n = 35) normo-hypodivergent adult subjects.
In this work, we study the effects of treating nanostructured SnO-SiO films derived by a sol-gel method with nitrogen and oxygen plasma. The structural and chemical properties of the films are closely investigated. To quantify surface site activity in the films following treatment, we employed a photocatalytic UV degradation test with brilliant green.

HD2733, a popular wheat variety of the eastern plains of India, is largely sensitive to heat stress. Therefore, the current study aims to improve heat tolerance of HD2733 by introgression of QTLs associated with early anthesis and high kernel weight linked to markers X and X, respectively, through marker-assisted backcross breeding (MABB) from a tolerant donor, WH730.

Utilizing the room-temperature solution-grown method, we synthesized MAPbBr crystals and examined their electrical transport properties. Although the X-ray diffraction reveals the cubical nature of the crystals, we have observed anisotropy in the electrical transport behavior and variation in dielectric constant across the three opposite faces of the crystals of mm dimensions.

We used a nutrigenetic approach to establish a link between lipids and obesity in Asian Indians, who are known to have a high prevalence of central obesity and dyslipidaemia. A sample of 497 Asian Indian individuals (260 with type 2 diabetes and 237 with normal glucose tolerance) (mean age: 44 ± 10 years) were randomly chosen from the Chennai Urban Rural Epidemiological Study (CURES).

Apart from proteins' biological functions, contemporary research mainly focuses on their evolving potential associated with nanoscale electronics. Here, we report one chemical doping process in model protein molecules (BSA) to modulate their electrical conductivity by incorporating metal (gold) nanoclusters on the surface or within them.

The industry is already bogged down by the usage of synthetic re-tanning agents that are not only extremely challenging for biodegradation but also release free-form of formaldehyde in the final leather stage. This research work focuses on developing a formaldehyde-free bio-based re-tanning agent from hair waste.
