Vulvovaginal atrophy, characterized by the thinning of vaginal mucosa typically resulting from reduced estrogen levels, is frequently exacerbated by oncogynecologic treatments such as chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, radiotherapy, or surgery. This condition significantly impacts the quality of life for cancer survivors, leading to persistent discomfort, heightened infection risk, and negative effects on sexual function and self-esteem. Despite being a relatively common complication, vulvovaginal atrophy is not always discussed before the start of treatment.
