As collection of electron microscopy data for single-particle reconstruction becomes more efficient, due to electronic image capture, one of the principal limiting steps in a reconstruction remains particle-verification, which is especially costly in terms of user input. Recently, some algorithms have been developed to window particles automatically, but the resulting particle sets typically need to be verified manually. Here we describe a procedure to speed up verification of windowed particles using multivariate data analysis and classification.

Type 2 ryanodine receptor (RyR2) is the major calcium release channel in cardiac muscle. Phosphorylation of RyR2 by cAMP-dependent protein kinase A and by calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II modulates channel activity. Hyperphosphorylation at a single amino acid residue, Ser-2808, has been proposed to directly disrupt the binding of a 12.

Background: Changes in motor disorder after Nissen 360 degrees surgery were studied based on clinical signs of preoperative nonobstructive dysphagia.

Materials And Methods: Forty-seven patients undergoing Nissen 360 degrees fundoplication for gastroesophageal reflux were studied with pH recording and esophageal manometry before and 1 year after fundoplication. Amplitude of contraction of the distal third of the esophagus (ACDTE) and the presence of primary propulsive waves were studied.
