Coronary ectasia is a rare vessel defect that represents a pathological and incidental finding in routine coronary angiography performed for other coronary syndromes. This defect exposes to the risk of intra-coronary thrombosis by blood stasis due to the turbulent blood flow in those dilated areas that can lead to sudden death. We report an autopsy case of a male subject suddenly deceased.

Background: Despite recent advances, non-small cell lung cancer carries a grim prognosis. For appropriate treatment selection, the updated guidelines recommend broad molecular profiling for all patients with pulmonary adenocarcinoma. Precise histological subtyping and targeted epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) testing are mandatory.

Background: It is now necessary to determine ALK status in order to use targeted therapy.

Aim: herein, we assess immunohistochemical profile of ALK protein in a series of Tunisian patients with pulmonary adenocarcinoma.

Materials And Methods: ALK protein expression was studied applying the D5F3 antibody with a fully automated Ventana CDx technique on a series of 19 patients.

This study retrospectively evaluated the histopathological criteria commonly used in the literature on the diagnosis of hydatidiform mole, in correlation with the diagnosis rendered previously. The molar and non-molar cases seen in the first-trimester of pregnancy were separately reviewed by two pathologists. The correlation between the consensual histological diagnosis and the ploidy status was then evaluated.

Introduction: Myoepithelial carcinoma accounts for less than 1% of salivary gland malignant tumors. It may develop de novo or, in approximately 50% of the cases, from a pleomorphic adenoma.

Observation: A 57-year-old man with a history of a pleomorphic adenoma of the parotid treated surgically 6 years earlier, presented with a 2 cm tumor mass, palpable in the scar region.

Aims: To study the immunohistochemical expression of HHV8 in Kaposi's lesions and in other vascular lesions and to determine the utility of this technique in differentiating between Kaposi's disease (KD) and other vascular lesions.

Methods: Fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections from 25 cases of KD, 9 cases of hemangioma, 2 cases of angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia and 9 cases of angiosarcoma were examined immunohistochemically using the monoclonal antibody monoclonal LNA 53 (ABI). Strong, nuclear and granular staining in at least a cell was considered as a positive result.

Aims: To study by flow cytometry (FCM) the ploidy and the cellular cycle of nodular hidradenoma (NH) and hidradenocarcinoma (HC) and to assess the prognostic utility of this technique in such tumors.

Methods: We studied retrospectively 2 HC and 11 NH one of which was considered as an atypical NH. Monoparametric study by FCM was realized on paraffin-embedded material.

Aim: To study a serie of superficial tumors of the bladder and to assess the prognostic significance of p53, Ki67, PCNA and bcl2 in these tumors.

Methods: We studied 59 bladder tumors: 43 pTa and 16 pT1. All Patients had cystoscopy 3 months after the resection and tumors that did not recur had a minimum follow up of 5 years.

A case of a perivascular epithelioid cell tumor (PEComa) arising in the uterus of a 35-year-old woman is presented. Imaging studies revealed a 5 cm well circumscribed mass in the uterine fundus. The tumor was composed of clear to faintly eosinophilic, epithelioid and spindled cells.

Clinico-pathological study of superficial bladder cancer (pTa/pT1) informs about prognostic factors such as the size of the tumor, its uni or multifocal character, its grade and stage. Presently, these factors constitute the basis of therapeutic decision but do not allow to foresee the prognosis with certainty. Many technics have contributed to a better knowledge of such tumors; however, they have not allowed to fully master prognostic uncertainties.

Ganglioneuroma is a rare benign tumor. It is the most mature of neurogenic tumors. We report a case of a pelvic ganglioneuroma diagnosed in 24-year-old pregnant woman who presented with an urinary infection.

Syringocystadenoma papilliferum (SCAP) is a rare cutaneous adnexal neoplasm with variable clinical appearance and characteristic histology. It arises in about one third of cases within a sebaceous hamartoma (SH) and in this case, multiple other benign adnexal neoplasms may be associated with it. We report the clinical and pathological data of 8 cases of syringocystadenoma papilliferum.

Prostatic sarcoma is a very rare tumour arising from the specialized stroma of the prostatic parenchyma. The clinical and histological features and biological behaviour of this entity are poorly elucidated at the present time. The authors report a case of prostatic stromal sarcoma in a 47-year-old man presenting with complete bladder retention.

The authors report the case of a 40-year-old woman, who was operated for an ovarian mucinous cystadenocarcinoma. The pathologic findings of the hysterectomy specimen with bilateral salpingoophorectomy showed an ovarian mucinous cystadenocarcinoma associated with an endometrioid adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix. The mucinous cystadenocarcinoma represents the third most common type of ovarian carcinoma.

Adenomyoepithelioma of the breast are very rare and form a heterogeneous tumoral group in terms of their morphology and biological behaviour. We report two adenomyoepitheliomas of the breast. One appeared in a 29-year-old woman and was a tubular adenomyoepithelioma.
