Nearly 5% of all adults have gallbladder polyps, the majority are pseudo-polyps with no neoplastic potential. Although gallbladder polyps are commonly found in cholecystectomy specimen, only a very few gallbladder polyps present as carcinoma in a polypoid lesion.
