Manipulating flexible and underactuated objects, such as a whip, remains a significant challenge in robotics. Remarkably, humans can skillfully manipulate such objects to achieve tasks, ranging from hitting distant targets to extinguishing a cigarette's in someone's mouth with the tip of a whip. This study explored this problem by constructing and modeling a 25-degree-of-freedom whip.

This prospective cohort study aimed to assess the effectiveness of Empagliflozin as part of a quadruple OHA regimen over a 7-year follow-up period in 575 adult patients with uncontrolled T2DM on a triple OHA regimen and who were unwilling to initiate insulin therapy. Overall, 92.

Methods: Using a Veterans' database, we extracted the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) from physician interpretation of sleep studies, by developing a Natural Language Processing (NLP) pipeline (with 944 manually annotated notes) which achieved more than 85% accuracy.
Background: To overcome the limitations of IL-15 and to improve the efficacy of IL-15 in immunotherapy, several strategies have been introduced.
Objective: The objective of this study was to generate and evaluate a novel anti-CD8/IL-15 (N72D)/Sushi fusion protein with the potential to target CD8 T cells and enhance functionality of CD8 T cells against tumor cells.
Methods: In this connection, a novel fusokine that contains IL-15(N72D), a Sushi domain, and anti-CD8 single-chain fragment variable (scFv) was designed.

Automated moral inference is an emerging topic of critical importance in artificial intelligence. The contemporary approach typically relies on language models to infer moral relevance or moral properties of a concept. This approach demands complex parameterization and costly computation, and it tends to disconnect with existing psychological accounts of moralization.

Seventy-four eyes of 74 patients with PVR-C were included. Of these, 37 eyes were assigned to the MTX group and 37 eyes to the control group.

Methods: This double-blind randomized clinical trial study was conducted on HF patients with depression symptoms at the Heart Failure Clinics affiliated with Babol University of Medical Sciences. In this study, 80 participants were examined for depression based on the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS).
During COVID-19 pandemic, international pharmaceutical companies put effort to build global manufacturing networks for vaccines. Soberana Plus vaccine, a recombinant protein based vaccine (RBD dimer), with the trade name of PastoCovac Plus in Iran, is based on a protein subunit platform in Cuba and completed preclinical and toxicological assessments. This study aimed at presenting the steps of vaccine technology transfer from Cuba to Iran.

Consequently, they become impaired, resulting in immune cell exhaustion, tumor progression, and resistance to other therapies. In this study, we developed an anti-PD-L1-CAR NK cell with efficient activity and a notable PD-L1-specific response toward tumor cell lines.

Despite extensive research, the pathogenesis of PF remains incompletely understood, and effective therapeutic options are limited. Emerging evidence suggests a potential link between gut microbiota dysbiosis and the development of PF, highlighting the gut-lung axis as a promising therapeutic target.

How was the moral lexicon formed? We explore this open question and hypothesize that words evolved to take on abstract moral meanings from concrete and grounded experiences. We test this hypothesis by analyzing semantic change and formation of over 800 words from the English Moral Foundations Dictionary and the Historical Thesaurus of English over the past hundreds of years.

For this research, 90 samples from 30 different brands widely consumed in this city were collected. The content of heavy metals and the health risks associated with their use were then studied.

Therefore, the objective of the present study was to explore the impact of astaxanthin supplementation in conjunction with a 12-week CrossFit training regimen on some selected adipo-myokines, insulin insensitivity, and serum lipid levels in obese males.
Material And Methods: This study is a randomized control trial design; 60 obese males were randomly divided into four groups of 15, including the control group (CG), supplement group (SG), training group (TG), and combined training and supplement group (TSG).

Background: Pediatric-onset multiple sclerosis (POMS) cases, defined as multiple sclerosis (MS) with onset before the age of 18, represent between 3 and 5 % of all MS patients. Anti-CD20 drugs mainly rituximab, ocrelizumab, and ofatumumab are being widely used in adult-onset MS. Their use in POMS is also being increasingly considered by experts.

Recombinant DNA technologies accelerated the development of antibody-based cancer therapy, which is effective in a broad range of cancers. The objective of the present study was to perform a systematic review on breast cancer immunotherapy using single-chain fragment variable (scFv) antibody formats.

Prior work has explored the conceptual development of different aspects of morality in childhood. Here, we offer an alternative approach to investigate the developmental emergence of moral foundations through the lexicon, namely the words used to talk about moral foundations.

Therefore, we aim to investigate how MQ either in positive or negative dimensions affect different cardiovascular risk factors and diseases.
Recent Findings: We systematically searched different databases in September 2023 for longitudinal studies conducted to assess the contribution of MQ to well-established cardiovascular risk factors and diseases.
Background And Aims: After conducting a comprehensive literature search of two medical electronic databases, PubMed and Embase, as well as two citation databases, Web of Science Core Collections (WoS) and Scopus, we aimed to conduct an Altmetric and Scientometric analysis of the History of Medicine literature in medical research.
Methods: The following software tools were used for analyzing the retrieved records from PubMed and Embase databases and conducting a collaboration analysis to identify the countries involved in scientific medical papers, as well as clustering keywords to reveal the trend of History of Medicine research for the future. These software tools (VOSviewer 1.
Study Objectives: Excessive daytime sleepiness is prevalent and overwhelmingly stems from disturbed sleep. We hypothesized that age modulates the association between excessive daytime sleepiness and increased all-cause mortality.
Methods: We utilized the Veterans' Health Administration data from 1999-2022.
Purpose: While sleep apnea (SA) gets more prevalent with advancing age, the impact of age on the association between SA and health outcomes is not well known. We assessed the association between the severity of SA and all-cause mortality in different age groups using large longitudinal data.
Method: We applied a Natural Language Processing pipeline to extract the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) from the physicians' interpretation of sleep studies performed at the Veteran Health Administration (FY 1999-2022).
Background: To predict outcomes and identify potential therapeutic targets for cancers, it is critical to find novel specific biomarkers. The objective of this study was to search for and explore novel bladder cancer-associated protein biomarkers.
Methods: A library of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against the JAM-ICR cell line was first generated, and clones with high affinity were selected.
