Transient opening of the blood-spinal cord barrier has the potential to improve drug delivery options to the spinal cord. We previously developed short-burst phase-keying exposures to reduce focal depth of field and mitigate standing waves in the spinal canal. However, optimal short-burst phase-keying parameters for drug delivery have not been identified.

For example, charged ferroelectric domain walls in BiFeO and ErMnO exhibit significantly enhanced conductivity which could serve as the foundation for next-generation circuits (Estévez and Laurson, , , 054407). Here, we describe a concept in which polar vortices perform the same role as a ferroelectric domain wall in classical domain structures with the key difference being that the polar vortices can accommodate charged (.

For example, studies of dynamical properties of magnetic vortices and skyrmions have not only deepened our understanding of many-body physics but also offered potential applications in data processing and storage. Topological structures constructed from electrical polarization, rather than electron spin, have recently been realized in ferroelectric superlattices, and these are promising for ultrafast electric-field control of topological orders.

The severity of this threat has garnered increasing attention in India over the last decade, but the full consequences of this pollution are yet to be quantified. To estimate the spatiotemporal distribution, composition and beach quality of marine litter pollution, 17 beaches along the Hooghly estuary, a part of the Gangetic delta was studied.

It has also been described that the frequency of malignancies among patients with GIST is significantly higher than that in the general population. We present a case report of a patient with synchronous occurrence of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and a GIST who presented with chronic fatigue and an episode of syncope and was found to have obscure GI bleed.

Introduction: Foot problems are most common among patients with diabetes, and they are an important cause of morbidity in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). They can be prevented by following a simple foot care practice. The study objective was to stratify the level of risk for diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) among patients with diabetes by screening.

In the present study, ten different mangrove leaf methanolic extracts were screened for the type of phytochemicals followed by assessing antimicrobial, anti-oxidant and anti-cancer activities. The efficient methanolic crude extract of was further purified and characterized for the presence of the bioactive compound.

We present results of electric field manipulation of spins in a ferroelectric medium using dilute ferric ion-doped lead titanate as a model system. Combining first-principles calculations and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), we show that the ferric ion spins are preferentially aligned perpendicular to the ferroelectric polar axis, which we can manipulate using an electric field.

We report a case of a 49-year-old man with hypertension and diabetes mellitus who complained of chronic abdominal pain, vomiting, and early satiety. Preoperative contrast-enhanced computerized tomography (CECT) was performed, and adrenal myelolipoma was considered, lab investigations revealed a nonfunctional tumor.

To understand the autoimmune basis, the DNA abyzme activity mediated by serum polyclonal IgG Abs were examined in psychoses patients, quantitatively, by an in-house optimized DNase assay. A similar activity exhibited by IgG Abs from neuropsychiatric-systemic lupus erythematosus (NP-SLE) patients was used as a comparator.

Due to its unique ability to function as both a tumor suppressor and cytokine, IL-24-based cancer therapy has been developed for treating a broad spectrum of human cancers. Majority of the studies reported to date have focused on establishing IL-24 as a cancer therapeutic by primarily focusing on tumor cell killing.

A spin glass is, in many ways, the antithesis of this state, characterized by an ergodic landscape of nearly degenerate magnetic configurations, choosing to freeze into a distribution of these in a manner that is seemingly bereft of information. Here, we show that the coexistence of spin glass and antiferromagnetic order allows a novel mechanism to facilitate the switching of the antiferromagnet FeNbS, rooted in the electrically stimulated collective winding of the spin glass.

Prediction of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) has been an important aspect of Pharmacovigilance because of its impact in the pharma industry. The standard process of introduction of a new drug into a market involves a lot of clinical trials and tests. This is a tedious and time consuming process and also involves a lot of monetary resources.

Recent studies have shown that organisms including humans are exposed to microplastics directly or indirectly. The present study aims to examine the ingestion of these microplastics and the consequences of the same by studying the accumulation behavior of weathered Polyethylene (wPE) microplastics. The Perna viridis were exposed chronically to three different environmentally relevant concentrations of wPE for 30 days, followed by a one-week depuration phase.
