Unlabelled: Secondary open-angle glaucoma (SOAG) is a rare yet consequential complication following implantable collamer lens (ICL), also known as a phakic intraocular lens insertion, particularly in high myopia patients. This case report emphasizes the importance of recognizing SOAG and details the diagnostic complexities, reevaluation procedures, and successful long-term management of a 24-year-old bilateral high myopia (-7.00 D) patient who initially received an erroneous diagnosis of secondary angle-closure glaucoma (SACG) after ICL insertion at an external medical facility.

As conservative methods have shown substandard results, traditional surgical treatment includes open reduction and internal fixation by Herbert screws, cannulated screws, and conventional lateral locking plates. Though screw fixation has excellent results over long run, there is literature documenting the loosening and loss of articular congruency in elderly patients and in comminuted fracture patterns.

Methods: A structured questionnaire was administered via the Google platform from August 20 to September 19, 2022, to assess the perspectives and preferences of ophthalmologists concerning their proficiency in using their right hand, left hand, or both hands to perform routine tasks required in the practice of ophthalmic medicine and surgery.
Results: Two hundred and three participants took part in the survey.
Introduction: SARS-CoV-2 has infected over 753 million individuals and caused more than 6.8 million deaths globally to date. COVID-19 disease severity has been associated with SARS-CoV-2 induced hyper inflammation and the immune correlation with its pathogenesis remains unclear.

External stressors such as high altitude (HA) and low oxygen affect the human gut, skin and oral microbiome. However, compared to the human gut and skin microbiome, studies demonstrating the impact of altitude on human oral microbiota are currently scarce.

It is available free of cost from the Google Play Store for Android users. Procedures ranging from a simple outpatient department procedure (yttrium aluminium garnet peripheral iridotomy) to a complex surgical technique (trabeculectomy/tube surgery) can be explained and counseled with this Android application.

After substantial research, several biomarkers for COVID-19 have been validated however no specific and reliable biomarker for the prognosis of patients with COVID-19 infection exists. Present study was designed to identify specific biomarkers to predict COVID-19 severity and tool for formulating treatment.

Robust and quick serological tests such as antibody detection assays for SARS-CoV-2 provide relevant information and aid in the process of vaccine development and diagnostics, as well as in sero-epidemiological monitoring of antibody response to the virus. The receptor-binding domain (RBD) of spike and nucleocapsid protein are specific targets for detecting SARS-CoV-2 antibodies.

The use of extended reality technology especially in ophthalmic education and counseling will revolutionize the face of teaching and counseling on a whole new level. We have used this novel technology and have created a holographic museum of various anatomical structures such as the eyeball, cerebral venous system, cerebral arterial system, cranial nerves, and various parts of the brain in fine detail.

A way to decentralize this data and make machine learning accessible to the smaller organizations is via the blockchain technology.

Neophyte residents and novice surgeons may have to mentally visualize these concepts during the initial days of training. Only a powerful cognitive tool such as a three-dimensional (3D) eyeball model, with real-time TrueColor confocal images (and not animated images or models), can fill in these intellective mental gaps.

Currently, in ophthalmology, virtual and augmented reality are employed for surgical training by using three-dimensional (3D) eyeball models. These 3D models when printed can be used not only for surgical training but also in teaching ophthalmic residents and fellows for concept learning through tactile 3D puzzle assembly.

This neural network with CNN architecture with human-in-the-loop (HITL) data annotation helps not only in diagnosing glaucoma but also in predicting and locating detailed signs in the glaucomatous fundus, such as splinter hemorrhages, glaucomatous optic atrophy, vertical glaucomatous cupping, peripapillary atrophy, and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) defect.
Methods: The training was done on a well-curated private dataset of 1,400 high-resolution confocal fundus images, out of which 1,120 images (80%) were used exclusively for training and 280 images (20%) were used exclusively for testing.
Heat stress impairs physiology and overall functionality of the body at tissue and organ level in animals. Liver being a vital organ performs more than hundreds regulatory functions of the body. Present study investigates the modulation of molecular pathways that are responsible for liver damage triggered by heat stress.

Pearl millet is an important staple food crop of poor people and excels all other cereals due to its unique features of resilience to adverse climatic conditions. It is rich in micronutrients like iron and zinc and amenable for focused breeding for these micronutrients along with high yield. Hence, this is a key to alleviate malnutrition and ensure nutritional security.
