Oral cancer detection is based on biopsy histopathology, however with digital microscopy imaging technology there is real potential for rapid multi-site imaging and simultaneous diagnostic analysis. Fifty-nine patients with oral mucosal abnormalities were imaged in vivo with a confocal laser endomicroscope using the contrast agents acriflavine and fluorescein for the detection of oral epithelial dysplasia and oral cancer. To analyse the 9168 images frames obtained, three tandem applied pre-trained Inception-V3 convolutional neural network (CNN) models were developed using transfer learning in the PyTorch framework.

A series of modified epoxy novolac resins (ENRs) were prepared by incorporating dodecyl chain surfactants with polar groups such as amine, carboxylic acid, phenol, resorcinol and benzene sulfonic acid. Except for the case of benzene sulfonic acid, no macrophase separation is seen in any of the modified ENRs. The addition of these dodecyl surfactants to ENR hinders the cross-linking reaction as revealed from their dynamic and isothermal DSC curing measurements and reduced glass transition temperatures ().

Methods: Databases Medline, Embase, Evidence-Based Medicine, and Web of Science were searched with articles screened and included if their primary objective was the use of a confocal microscope in diagnosis of oral cancer or epithelial dysplasia, in vivo or ex vivo.
Results And Discussion: Twenty-eight relevant studies were identified of which 21 studies included oral squamous cell carcinoma specimens.

Purpose: Automatic retinal fundus image quality analysis is one of the most essential preliminary stages in automatic computer-aided retinal disease diagnosis system, which allows good-quality fundus images for accurate disease prediction through localization and segmentation of retinal regions. This paper presents new feature extraction methods using full-reference and no-reference image quality metrics for image quality classification.
Methods: Basic image features, reference and no-reference features are extracted from the fundus image and applied through different classification techniques to determine the image quality for further diagnosis.
Spinal dysraphisms refer to the congenital abnormalities of the spine and spinal cord due to aberrations in the processes of gastrulation, primary neurulation, and secondary neurulation. Embryology of many complex spinal dysraphisms are yet poorly understood and there is no agreeable anatomical-clinicoradiological classification with inclusion of recently documented and complex spinal dysraphisms. The main objective of this study was to review the imaging features of spinal dysraphisms with a better understanding of embryological abnormalities and propose a new classification inclusive of all complex and unusual dysraphisms based on anatomical and clinicoradiological correlation.

Design: This was a retrospective, observational, propensity-matched study.
Importance: Depression is often comorbid in patients with heart failure (HF) and is associated with worse clinical outcomes. However, depression generally goes unrecognized and untreated in this population.
Objective: To determine whether a blended collaborative care program for treating both HF and depression can improve clinical outcomes more than collaborative care for HF only and physicians' usual care (UC).
Background: Primary rhesus monkey kidney cells (RhMK) can be used for the detection of respiratory viruses, including influenza and parainfluenza. The human colon adeno-carcinoma cell line, CACO-2, has been previously used for the growth of multiple influenza viruses, including seasonal, novel and avian lineages.
Objective: We compared CACO-2, Madin-Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK), and RhMK cells for the isolation of viruses from patients presenting with influenza like-illness (ILI).
Purpose: To measure the adhesion of the denture characterizing composite to heat-cured, CAD/CAM and 3D printed denture base resins.
Methods And Materials: Two different denture characterizing composites with different viscosities (SR Nexco; high viscosity (SR) and Kulzer Cre-active; low viscosity (K)) and three denture base resins (Heat cure, CAD-milled and 3D printed) were investigated. 60 beams (25 × 4 × 3 mm) were fabricated for each denture base resin; 30 were bonded to SR and 30 to K to form a beam 50 × 4 × 3 mm.

Background: Psychosocial evaluations are required for long-term mechanical circulatory support (MCS) candidates, no matter whether MCS will be destination therapy (DT) or a bridge to heart transplantation. Although guidelines specify psychosocial contraindications to MCS, there is no comprehensive examination of which psychosocial evaluation domains are most prognostic for clinical outcomes.
