The surgical ciliated cyst is a newly added entity under the cysts of the jaws in the World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Head and Neck Tumours (2022). The interplay between quantum effects from magnetic frustration, low-dimensionality, spin-orbit coupling, and crystal electric field in rare-earth materials leads to nontrivial ground states with unusual magnetic excitations. Here, we investigate YbTaO, which hosts a buckled square net of Yb ions with = 1/2 moments. The observed Curie-Weiss temperature is about -1 K, implying an antiferromagnetic coupling between the Yb moments.

Introduction: Hip fusion surgeries even though uncommon have shown good functional outcomes in patients and have its own advantages over arthroplasty.

Case Report: In this case report, we present a 62-year-old female, who underwent right hip arthrodesis using Cobra plate when she was 42 years, with a long-term 20 years follow-up, leading a functionally normal life, good patient satisfaction with acceptable quality of life.

Discussion: Although hip fusion can limit the patient's range of motion, it confers the advantage of better and stable fixation, pain relief, and advantage of future conversion to hip arthroplasty if done within accepted limits.

The folding and unfolding of RNA stem-loops are critical biological processes; however, their computational studies are often hampered by the ruggedness of their folding landscape, necessitating long simulation times at the atomistic scale. Here, we adapted DeepDriveMD (DDMD), an advanced deep learning-driven sampling technique originally developed for protein folding, to address the challenges of RNA stem-loop folding. Although tempering- and order parameter-based techniques are commonly used for similar rare-event problems, the computational costs or the need for a priori knowledge about the system often present a challenge in their effective use.

Wallenberg syndrome, also known as lateral medullary syndrome, is a rare neurological condition caused by an ischemic stroke in the posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) territory of the brainstem. Here, we present a case of Wallenberg syndrome in a relatively healthy 37-year-old woman with no known risk factors besides a history of long-term oral contraceptive pill (OCP) use without prior adverse effects. Our method identifies outliers in a latent space model of the system's sampled conformations that is periodically trained using a convolutional variational autoencoder. As a proof of principle, we applied our DL-enhanced WE method to simulate a millisecond protein folding process. High-activity radioactive iodine (RAI) therapy for metastatic thyroid cancer (TC) requires isolation to minimize radiation exposure to third parties, thus posing challenges for patients needing hands-on care. There are limited data on the approach to high-activity RAI treatment in paraplegic patients. We report a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary approach to the management of bedbound patients, covering necessary radiation safety measures that lead to radiation exposure levels as low as reasonably achievable.
