Early childhood caries is an aggressive type of caries leading to early loss of crown structure. Retention of post and core is important in restoring teeth where there is compromised coronal structure. This case report describes the use of root stumps of primary teeth as a post and core for primary teeth.

Materials And Methods: Thirty extracted primary molars with active carious lesion extending into dentin were selected. The samples were randomly divided into groups by sectioning the samples into two halves.

Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study design was employed using a self-administered questionnaire. A 15 item questionnaire about law and ethics was devised; tested and made available to all levels of graduates including teaching staff, postgraduates and intern at dental college in Bengaluru.
