In this article, we describe the diagnosis and surgical treatment of synovial sarcoma within the right thigh of a 25-year-old male. Our article aims to demonstrate successful treatment through wide local excision and rotation flap reconstruction, emphasizing the noteworthiness of comprehensive surgical planning and postoperative care. Postoperative care guaranteed satisfactory healing and appendage functionality, with a follow-up plan to monitor for recurrence.

Introduction: In the past, various techniques have been used to improve motor imagery (MI), such as immersive virtual-reality (VR) and kinesthetic rehearsal. While electroencephalography (EEG) has been used to study the differences in brain activity between VR-based action observation and kinesthetic motor imagery (KMI), there has been no investigation into their combined effect. Previous studies have demonstrated that both visual and proprioceptive feedback play vital roles in mental practice of movements. Tactile sensation has been shown to improve with peripheral sensory stimulation via imperceptible vibratory noise by stimulating the sensorimotor cortex. With both proprioception and tactile sensation sharing the same population of posterior parietal neurons encoding within high-level spatial representations, the effect of imperceptible vibratory noise on motor imagery-based brain-computer interface is unknown.

Objective: The morphology of the carpal arch implicates the available space for the median nerve within the carpal tunnel. The purposes of this study were to 1) reconstruct the three-dimensional (3D) carpal arch by robot-assisted ultrasonography with a linear array transducer using cadaveric hands, and 2) investigate the 3D morphological properties of the carpal arch.

Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) is an inherited condition arising from genetic defects in the Adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) gene. Carriers with mutations in the APC gene develop polyps in the colon and rectum which if not managed, transition into colon cancer. Lynch syndrome (LS) is a cancer predisposition disorder wherein patients have a 70-80% lifetime risk of developing colorectal cancers (CRC). Finding germline mutations in predisposing genes allows for risk assessment of CRC development. Here we report a germline heterozygous frame-shift mutation in the mismatch repair MLH1 gene which was identified in members of two unrelated LS families.
