Background: COVID-19 causes a hypercoagulable state leading to thrombosis. Many of these thrombotic complications occur in those with severe disease and late in the disease course. COVID-19 has recently been associated with cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT).

We present one such case wherein the patient presented with a venous congestive myelopathy. Magnetic resonance imaging showed a syrinx formation, spinal cord edema, and flow voids.

We report the rare development of NORSE following carotid artery stenting (CAS), a procedure which is increasingly being used to treat the carotid stenosis.
Materials And Methods: Patients who developed NORSE following CAS for the prevention of stroke over a period of 5 years were analyzed retrospectively.
Background: Mechanical thrombectomy (MT) is the most effective treatment in large vessel occlusion (LVO). We have analyzed our initial experience of MT of 137 patients in anterior circulation (AC) and posterior circulation (PC) LVO using Solitaire stent retriever device.
Methods: Retrospective cohort analysis of 112 AC and 25 PC acute ischemic strokes was done considering various baseline characteristics, risk factors, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) change, revascularization rate, complications, and functional outcome at 3 months using modified Rankin score.
Objective: The diagnosis of leprous neuropathy is mostly empirical and electrophysiological studies may not truly represent the clinical findings. This study comprehensively evaluates the neuroelectrophysiology and looks at clinico-electrophysiological dissociation.
Methods: Conventional electrophysiological recording included evaluation of median, ulnar, radial, tibial, and common peroneal nerve; an extended protocol included great auricular, phrenic, and facial nerves, along with sympathetic skin response and blink reflex.
Paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNS) are rare and relatively unusual in day to day clinical practice. Occasionally, PNS may be the heralding manifestation of the malignancy. Paraneoplastic syndromes are most commonly associated with small cell lung carcinoma and are rarely seen with non small cell lung carcinoma.

We describe a patient with neurofibromatosis type 1 who developed soft tissue sarcoma, MPNST, and subarachnoid hemorrhage. A 22-year-old male reported right focal seizures consequence to severe headache.

An urgent MRI of the brain was performed, which did not reveal any abnormality and hence a neurology consultation was arranged in order to rule out acute stroke. However, examination and retrospective history taking proved to be a valuable aid in this patient's diagnosis.

These movements are considered as soft neurologic signs seen uncommonly in clinical practice. The mirror movements are described in various neurological disorders which include parkinsonism, cranio veretebral junction anamolies, and hemiplegic cerebral palsy.

This study was designed to evaluate the serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) concentrations of cytokines as well as matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and MMP-9 in patients with a solitary cysticercus granuloma.
Materials And Methods: The study included 47 patients suffering from seizures in whom a solitary cysticercus granuloma was detected on a computed tomography (CT) scan.
Background: We have reported perineal antropyloric segment transposition with its pudendal innervation as a replacement for anal sphincter. Our aim herein was to neuromodulate this segment by electrical stimulation.
Methods: Eight patients with a permanent colostomy underwent perineal antropyloric segment transposition followed by neural anastomosis of its anterior vagus branch to pudendal nerve branch in the perineum.
Pituitary apoplexy syndrome is characterised by acute neuro-ophthalmological features and usually occurs due to bleeding in a pituitary adenoma. It is an unusual presentation of tuberculoma, as only few similar cases have been reported previously. A 17-year-old girl presented with headache, vomiting, altered sensorium and vision loss.

Sjögren's syndrome is associated with central and peripheral nervous system involvement. The peripheral neuropathy is usually a sensory predominant neuropathy or a cranial neuropathy. Myelopathy is usually of focal, subacute, chronic or relapsing type.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAcute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is a monophasic clinical syndrome, characterised by immune-mediated demyelination of the central nervous system. Differentiating ADEM from acute viral encephalomyelitis may pose a difficult clinical challenge. We describe a 3-year-old girl who presented with fever, weakness in all four limbs, urinary retention, respiratory distress and altered sensorium.

Occasionally, tubercular meningitis (TBM) can predispose to cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). We report a young man, who developed CVST as a complication of TBM.

The hepatitis B infection can cause neuropathy either to vasculitis associated with polyarteritis nodosa or immune-mediated neural damage. In this submission, we report a young woman, who presented with mononeuritis multiplex and painful ulcerations as the first manifestation of chronic hepatitis B virus infection.

We aimed to correlate cognitive functions with diffusion tensor imaging derived metrics in spastic diplegic children.
Methods: Twenty-two term children with spastic diplegia and 22 healthy controls were recruited.
Disseminated tuberculosis is characterised by concurrent tubercular involvement of two or more non-contiguous organs. It is an unusual presentation of tuberculosis, especially in the absence of immunodeficiency. We describe a young, immunocompetent patient who presented with fever, cough, headache, diplopia and paraparesis.
