Transformation of ameloblastoma to ameloblastic carcinoma in a 10-year-old child.

Ameloblastic carcinoma (AC) is a rare odontogenic malignant epithelial neoplasm of maxillofacial skeleton with a distinct predisposition of the mandible. It can occur in a wide range of age groups, with a sex predilection in males. It can arise either as a de novo lesion or from preexisting ameloblastoma.

Undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma of the chest wall: a rare diagnosis.

A 31-year-old man with no predisposing factors and no history of chronic disease presented with a small painless lump over his anterior chest wall. On evaluation, it was found to be undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma. He underwent wide local excision of the tumour with clear margins, followed by adjuvant radiotherapy.

Role of inflammatory mediators (TNF-α, IL-6, CRP), biochemical and hematological parameters in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients of Kashmir, India.

Type II Diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a multifactorial disease and a leading cause of premature deaths. Inflammatory cytokines are reported that they have potential to enhance insulin resistance and hence T2DM. Assessment of immunological profile in T2DM patients of Kashmir valley is unclear.

Prevalence of epilepsy in school-going children (6-18 years) in Kashmir Valley of North-west India.

Epilepsy is a common neurological disorder which predominantly affects paediatric and young adolescent population. The aim of present study was to evaluate the prevalence of epilepsy in school-going children (6-18 years) in Kashmir valley. Forty-nine cases of epilepsy were detected after screening 15218 school-going children.
