Potential antitumor activity of exopolysaccharide produced from date seed powder as a carbon source for Bacillus subtilis.

The major functions of Exopolysaccharide (EPS) include, preventing bacterial cells from desiccating and biofilm production to increase the colonization of bacterial cells. In the current study, a bacterial strain was isolated to produce EPS. Phylogenetic analysis of the isolated strain indicated it was related to Bacillus subtilis.
