Total thyroidectomy is the treatment of choice though it carries a risk of complications due to the altered anatomy and its proximity to vital structures. This study examines the outcomes of total thyroidectomy in patients with retrosternal goiters and assesses the impact of tracheal compression on clinical results.

Employer and employee should work together to determine the most beneficial accommodations that would not impose an undue hardship on the employer.
Materials And Methods: An exploratory study design with a purposive sampling technique was used in the current study.
Introduction Head and neck cancers account for 30% of malignancies in India and oral squamous cell carcinoma is most common. 80% of the patients present with locally advanced disease and many of them are inoperable. In this study we documented the outcomes of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) in locally advanced oral cancer staged T4 with regards to downstaging the disease and to make the tumor more amenable for surgery with better access.

Recent studies found that the altered expression of SGO1 is associated with various cancers and genetic disorders, and suggested as a target for therapy. In the present study, we have reviewed the available literature on SGO1 gene and protein expression in various cancer-cell lines, animal models and cancer patients, and targeting SGO1 with siRNA/shRNA.

YAS frits were initially prepared using a melt-quenching method, then homogenously milled and coated onto alumina ceramics. The melt-coating process was conducted at 1650 °C for 1 h.

The development of Perishable Food Supply Chains (PFSC) has to be strong enough to manage any type of disruptions in the food industry. At the same time, the food processing industry must also take responsibility for the social and environmental consequences of their deeds.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional study of a convenience sample of ethnic Chinese nulliparas (n = 33) and Western nulliparas (n = 33) recruited for research purposes.
Meckel's cave is a dural recess in the posteromedial portion of the middle cranial fossa, serving as a conduit for the trigeminal nerve and hosting various pathologies. The radiological diagnosis of Meckel's cave pathologies is often challenging, especially when they are atypical and rarely encountered. Here, we discuss the case of a 41-year-old woman who presented with right hemifacial pain, numbness, and binocular diplopia.

The recent discovery of helical van der Waals multiferroics down to the ultrathin limit raises prospects of large chiral magnetoelectric correlations in two dimensions. However, the exact nature and magnitude of these couplings have remained unknown so far.

We report the first case of neurobrucellosis presenting as an infected cerebellopontine cistern epidermoid cyst in a young immunocompetent male who presented with fever and acute raised intracranial pressure. MRI brain showed an extra-axial mass in the right cerebellopontine angle cistern with peripheral rim enhancement and diffusion restriction.

This abstract gives an insight into the technique of TMMR in the surgical treatment of cervical cancer. TMMR involves precise dissection of the mesometrium surrounding the cervix, aiming for optimal oncological outcomes while minimizing surgical morbidity.

This surgical video aims to illustrate these challenges and demonstrate effective techniques for clearance of critical structures such as the portal vein (PV), common bile duct (CBD), accessory left hepatic artery (Acc. LHA), obliterated umbilical vein (OUV), inferior vena cava (IVC), and foramen of Winslow.

These pathogens are also implicated in various systemic disorders, but their association with the incidence of gastrointestinal (GI) cancer is less explored. A systematic review followed by a meta-analysis was conducted as per standard guidelines (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) 2022) to find this association between GI cancers and PRCB after a literature search for full-text papers in the English language (between 2010 and 2023) in databases (Cochrane Library, PubMed, and Web of Science) with suitable keywords using the Boolean search strategy.

In most cases, management involves salvage therapy, including fluid resuscitation, antibiotics, aggressive debridement, drainage of infected collections, and proximal esophageal diversion. Primary anastomosis is rarely performed.

Melanoma is known for its high metastatic potential and aggressive growth. Recurrence is common post-surgery, sometimes leading to unresectable disease. Locally recurrent unresectable melanoma of extremity has been treated with high-dose anticancer chemotherapy via isolated limb perfusion (ILP) to improve local efficacy of drug and salvage limbs.
