Introduction: The study aims to investigate the antifungal efficacy of albedo extract of Punica grantum on candida albicans by evaluating the inhibitory capacity of alcoholic albedo extracts by disc diffusion method and by comparing the antifungal efficacy of alcoholic extract of albedo with clotrimazole and ethanol.
Methods: Using a conventional disc diffusion method, the effectiveness of Punica Granatum albedo extract against Candida albicans was assessed and evaluated depending on the presence or absence of inhibition zones, as well as the average diameter of inhibition zones. Albedo extract of Punica granatum serial dilutions were prepared ranging from 1%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% and its antifungal efficacy was tested against Candida albicans in comparison with clotrimazole and ethanol.
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic degenerative disorder that causes significant pain and functional limitations. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy has gained considerable attention in recent years in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. In this narrative review, we aim to investigate the role of intra-articular PRP injections in the treatment of knee and hip OA.

Patients And Methods: This study is a retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data from 2015 to 2022.
Purpose: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in syphilitic neuroarthropathy using earlier implant designs was associated with poorer outcomes. Literature on TKA for non-syphilitic neuroarthropathy using modern contemporary prosthesis is scarce. We aim to analyse the clinical and radiological outcomes of TKA in neuropathic joints.

Background: Prevalence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection among people who inject drugs in the state of Manipur, India, is 43%; however, access to care is poor. We piloted a Community-led and comprehensive hepatitis care model that included same-day HCV treatment at drug treatment centres.
Methods: Screening was conducted through venipuncture samples collected by community peer PWID, using HCV antibody (HCV Ab) rapid screening and hepatitis B virus (HBV) surface antigen (HBsAg) rapid diagnostic tests.

Multiple cranial nerve palsies frequently accompany hypoglossal nerve palsy, potentially indicating malignancy, such as lymphoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, or metastases. However, when solely the hypoglossal nerve is affected, the causes may involve Chiari malformation, arachnoid cyst, or infectious mononucleosis, suggesting a positive prognosis. Craniocervical junction tuberculosis (TB), is an uncommon cause of isolated hypoglossal nerve palsy and has been reported infrequently in the literature.

We have evaluated 200 consecutive knees (158 patients), 100 knees undergoing robotic TKA, and 100 knees treated with conventional TKA. Demographic parameters like age, gender, body mass index, diagnosis and range of motion were obtained.

Patients And Methods: Thirty-nine patients were included in this retrospective analysis undergoing conversion THA for failed cephalomedullary nail or dynamic hip screw fixation for intertrochanteric fractures from January 2017 to January 2022. The clinical evaluation was done using Harris hip score.
Introduction: Cardiac complications represents a major cause of morbidity and mortality especially after bilateral simultaneous total knee arthroplasty (BS-TKA). Takotsubo syndrome after BS-TKA has not been described in the literature.
Case Presentation: A 60 years-old women underwent BS- TKA and she suddenly developed bradycardia and hypotension after second knee wound closure.

Common peroneal nerve (CPN) injury is a serious complication following total knee arthroplasty (TKA). We aim to report four patients (five knees) who underwent prophylactic peroneal nerve decompression for severe rigid valgus deformity with or without associated fixed flexion deformity that was not correctable under anaesthesia. The preoperative deformity of 31.

The basic pathophysiology of coronary artery disease (CAD) is a reduction of the blood flow in coronary vessels, leading to restricted blood flow to the heart muscle. Both modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors contribute to its multifactorial etiology.

We also compared the patellar morphological factors between the varus and valgus knees on predicting the need for LRR.
Methods: We have retrospectively analyzed the incidence of LRR in consecutive 152 primary TKA (124 patients) from May 2018 to December 2018.
Despite the global decline, neonatal mortality rates (NMR) remain high in India. Family members are often responsible for the postpartum care of neonates and mothers. Yet, low health literacy and varied beliefs can lead to poor health outcomes.

Patients And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 104 consecutive patients who underwent conversion THR for failed hemiarthroplasty between January 2012 and December 2018. The patient's records were analyzed for demographic information, index surgery details, preoperative functional status, and perioperative complications.

Globally 2.5 million newborns die every year before they reach the age of one month; the majority of these deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries. Among other factors, inadequate knowledge and skills to take care of newborns contribute to these deaths.

Purpose: We aim to compare the outcome of culture-positive (CP PJI) and culture-negative (CN PJI) acute knee prosthetic joint infection (PJI) following debridement, antibiotics and implant retention (DAIR) with polyethylene insert exchange. We also aim to analyze the factors associated with the successful outcome of DAIR and the influence of failed DAIR on the outcome of subsequent two-stage revision arthroplasty.
Methods: We performed a retrospective review of 36 consecutive patients who underwent DAIR for acute PJI between January 2013 and January 2018.

One of the most prevalent diseases that can be initially identified by visual inspection and further identified with the use of dermoscopic examination and other testing is skin cancer. Since eye observation provides the earliest opportunity for artificial intelligence to intercept various skin images, some skin lesion classification algorithms based on deep learning and annotated skin photos display improved outcomes. The researcher used a variety of strategies and methods to identify and stop diseases earlier.

Establishing processes that facilitate the merging of heterogeneous clusters of retrospective data was an essential challenge. In addition, data from new ORCHESTRA prospective studies have to be compatible with earlier collected information to be efficiently combined.

Medicine is no exception; the importance of patient information in the digital form has been recognized by organizations and health care facilities. Almost all patient information, including medical history, radiographs, and feedback, can be digitally recorded synchronously and asynchronously.

The states of Punjab and Karnataka in India piloted the programme in 12 district hospitals in July 2017, and no study to date has evaluated its impact.
Methods: We compared telephonically self-reported maternal and neonatal care practices and health outcomes before and after the launch of the CCP programme in 11 facilities.
Background: We aim to report the consecutive patients diagnosed with osteonecrosis of femoral head (ONFH) following recovery from COVID-19 disease and elucidate the unique features of ONFH associated with COVID-19.
Methods: Consecutive 22 patients (39 hips) recovered from COVID-19 and presented with ONFH from November 2020 to October 2021 were included. All the patients received corticosteroids as a supportive treatment during COVID-19.
Background: The effect of osteoarthritis (OA) with tibiofemoral (TF) subluxation on patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has been less studied, and there have been no studies on sagittal knee subluxation which is a component of a three-dimensional problem. We aim to analyze the influence of preoperative coronal and sagittal knee subluxation with OA on other radiological parameters and the functional outcome in patients undergoing TKA.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the 179-consecutive primary TKA in 151 patients from January 2017 to June 2017.
